Actually I found a work-around (read kludge) that allowed me to break the alliance. First, you have to make some kind of demand of the other race that they are sure to reject. For example, tell them to give you all their money, ships and planets. Then, after you have lost a few “love points” go to break the alliance. The next time you return to the diplomatic screen your relationship will be close, but no longer ally. Obviously this is still a bug but at there seems to be a bailing-wire and bubb

In my current game I am allied with both the Yor and the I-League. The Yor have declared war on the I-League. Despite the fact that I do 90% of my trading with the Yor my senate insists that we side with the I-League. I have tried to break my alliance with the I-League but they always remain my ally. Is this a known bug? Is there a fix for this? I looked through the postings here but the lack of a real search feature makes this an exercise in frustration. ~SDC~

In my current game I’ve allied with both the Yor and the I-League. The Yor have declared war on the I-League and for some reason my senate insists that we side with the I-League despite the fact that 90% of my trade comes from the Yor. I have tried again and again to break my alliance with the I-League but come the next turn they are still my ally. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a known fix? I tried to search the forums but we all know that’s a difficult proposition. :( ~
Doh! Here all this time I've been eating the maintainence costs for all the social projects I built through the game. Grr! ~SDC~
You can decommision old social projects? How do you do that? ~SDC~
Thanks! That would make a lot of sense as I was culturally dominating the map at that point. ;) ~SDC~
The last game I played I noticed that one of the other race's planet had a small skull and crossbones icon next to it. What does this icon mean? Is there a list somewhere of all the graphics and what they mean? I have figured most out so far by myself but I'd still like to see an official description. Thanks
OK, I'll bite ... what's the URL? (Ducking in case that's a really stupid question) ~SDC~
