Please make it all or none - give us a level playing field.
As Alex said.
I do not think that Stardock will fix the metaverse recalc problem because they are very busy on the new game GC2. I personally don't think that they need to fix it at this time either. I do not want them to take time away from the GC2 development.
Agree I do not think Stardock should or will waste resources to see why some players are immune from recalulation, but
My question is, is there any reason that I should start with the first game and not the expansion?
No start with the expansion. Walldorf2000, gave you some good starts. The game is easy to learn as you play.

The games should be post right away. :notsure: When you post do you notice a delay after you press the submit button ? If you lose your lan connection the game dumps you immediately to the start menu. I always save my games I attempt to submit in case I have any problem I can reload the game and try submitting again. The problem one is when you submit you really do not have a indication of if the subimission was a success. There could be delay

The easy check is to click on your name. Doing so it looks like you have no games or least none made it to the Metaverse. You need a least one game for a ranking. Welcome to the Foundation. [Message Edited]

Will you be able to play Galciv II as you do when you play Galciv I ? Not know where alien races are at the start. Explore the Map. Colonize Systems that you find. Build Social Projects, Ships. Meet Aliens trade, declare war.. My hope is if you like Galciv you like Galciv II because you can play it the same way. My fear is the Galaxy is alreay explored sinc

I am not sure that at this point it is even wise to spend time debuging the Metaverse but this observation may help for the next metaverse. My new games sometimes are over writing old games. According to the Metaverse I won my first AP maso almost two years ago :) :) What I think is happening is somehow " maybe because I played over 850 games ", games are generating the same ID. Peace was saying this happened in the past. If the new games ID m

Alignment is one of the great things about GC. I like playing good so I do not have to slug out wars with other races. Playing evil has it's merits and many people enjoy playing evil. You can take all the advantages in the events, get powerful ships not available to good guys, can go to weaker races demand tribute but you fight wars and may get the event where people in your empire revolt against your oppression.

Space Monsters can be handled two ways... First watch where the survey ship travels an do not let the survey ship explore Space monster Eggs. Second once a monster is released it is slower but attracked to your survey ship. Let the space monster follow your survey ship to local alien race space. Minor races should not be too hard to deal with. If they are close to you when they pop-up take them out right away if they are undefended. If they have a strong defen

Ouch. You maybe able to back up the AP 1.5 files from home to a CD and copy AP 1.5 from your home machine to the computer at work but I am not sure of :notsure: This may work if you have Stardock Central at home. If you do not have Stardock Central at home you should be able to download the latest version on Stardock Central , burn the downloaded file on a CD and install SD Central at home later. From Stardock Central Select Galactic Civil

. Do not present the data or degrade anything, but instead supply us a customisable layer where the data can be presented to the player the way the player wants to see it.

Jeffery, I am a big fan of the AP expansion pack myself. I do not think you need to be in a hurry to upgrade, but I think it is wise purchase and Stardock has promised one AP upgrade before Christmas. The AP expansion does require the base game but for some reason if you still want to play GC 1.22 you can. If you do upgrade for $50 you can subscribe to totalgaming.net You get the AP expansion All the games on Totalgaming.net Access

Icho, You know I said I play last time then people quickly lost interest and the games died. I am also concerned about registering to a new board, another password.. And no offence but it looks like the site gain its income from popups, ads and maybe spyware and spam.

Sure how do you want me, help you enjoy the game ? I would advise you start with the intellegence of the AI turned low until you get the feel of the game. Play a game as a warmonger, try to get a cultural win, try to get a alliance win, or even a technology win, try playing evil and try playing nice. Have fun exploring and let nobody tell you how to enjoy the game. [Message Edited]
