GC2 Civ 5 Eador: Masters of blah blah blah I considered Distant Worlds but it's costly to get it plus all xpacs for something that one hasn't tried and isn't sure one will like (not a big fan of real time) and many recommend or say that you really want all xpacs for it. I ended up playing some GC2 instead of throwing down. <

I do pen and Paper D & D but with rules via Pathfinder which is WAY better than the new 4.0 rules. When I play GC2 I disable all vic conditions except conquest and influence..
I should have listed Gal Civ II as well. I played and played and now I am doing the Civ V thing.
Greetings Gal Civ Fans! I am just posting here to post and up my post count shamelessly! So what are you all gaming today? I figure this is a useful thread as Brad and Co can use it somehow.... Me? Distant Worlds (all Expacs) Endless Space (base game, not much anymore) Heroes III (from GoG) Civ 5 <<< I currently LOVE this game, now with expacs and DLC, playing many hours he
Chibiabos ^^^ that is exactly what I am thinking of. Lucky, thank you for clarification. The graphix setting thing is a great idea, I use EVGA's Prescision X to monitor my GPU and force my fan to max speed when I game anyway.
Ill take Order and Honor for a Domination win across the Galaxy please...... [e digicons]}:)[/e]
Not clear on what you are asking Spitfire? My stardock account and credentials are completely different from my Steam ones. Are we going to get a code at our Stardock registered email that we 'enter' at steam to get our game?
So I am about to hit the buy/purchase and I realized how does it (Stardock) know my steam account? My email and name here is different from there. How can it deliver my codes through steam if it does not know my steam account details? Sooo please treat me like the idiot I truly am and will someone please explain things to me..... (sigh)
No sense for me to check for alpha yet. 32-bits still claim my PC as their realm.
Come to the 64 bit side..... Actually I was running XP64 years ago and when i went kicking and screaming to Win 7 I stayed 64 bit. I must admit, that Win 7 64 is probably the best version of Windows I have ever used. Not gonna touch Win 8...but... I too must keep
Quoting Seilore, reply 1 quoting post Utilize more Ram if the system has it (3 to 6 gigs?) Why stop at 6? My new system will have 32 gb if you have it use it lol I don't understand this one. My understanding is that GC3, just like 1 and 2, will be using Virtual Memory, while the main Ram on a system is Real Memory that holds part of the Virtual
I agree, however not everyone has a high end gaming rig. I do not code and realize that as a developer you want your game to be accesible to as many customers/players as possible. This game may just bring PC gaming back for many!
Quoting Zydor, reply 224 There is little doubt the Combat Box will be enhanced, and that's fine, all adds to the glitz - there has never been doubt about that. But as a Core part of the Main Game Flow ? ..... Not happening. Brad has stated firmly on zillions of occasions that GalCiv is not Tactically based, and never will be...... its a Strategic game, and he will keep it that way. Expect smoke
I absolutely love Gal Civ II! I have played probably 100's of hours of game time! I am currently playing Distant Worlds with all expacs, Civ 5 with all expacs and a MMO here and there (see EQ2). Anyway I have been really wanting a game that actually takes advantage of the technology we have today. For example, I built my own computer and most of todays games are built around systems almost 7 years ago, DX9, 1 or if you are lucky 2 threads, and rarely utilize the lar
I want to chime in here... Please keep the humor in the game. I loved all of it... +2 cents..
Greetings. It has been a long time since I have been to these forums. After scrubbing Google for information I have realized there is ZERO out there regarding a follow up to my favorite 4x Space Game, Gal Civ II Ultimate. Are there ANY (see desperate attempt to recapture his gaming bliss), info, rumors, (outright lies) that anyone knows if the
Thanks but What is the name of this x3? or is it X3?
What is (x3) that everyone is playing?
So what are people playing that is a space based build game that is not Gal Civ 2? I think this game is great but I have yet to find another that even comes close to it. I do not like real time games an the turn based has always been a favorite. Does anyone out there have a new game suggestion?
I am looking for Mods for the ultimate edition. Packs and complete changes..
I am going to switch to Win 7 Pro (64 bit) and would like to know if I will have any issues? Also is DX 10 backwards compatible? If I go from DX9c to DX10 will I still be able to play Gal Civ2 UE? Thanks
I have the Star Wars Vrs Star Trek mod. This is cool but kinda takes all the fun out of exploring your Tech Tree..
I am looking for Mods that improve the game. I am playing Gal Civ 2 UE. I am looking for any mods that change or improve your game. For example, with Civ 4 there a host of mods with more weapons, Civilizations, techs and sounds/music. There are also mods that 'fix' the game in many ways and improve its playability. Are there any around that I can look at or ones that you all recomend? Can I have the 'mods' directory hold more than one mod or do I have to tell it
I have also had the event where the Minor has stolen the Major ones techs. My message is they are interested in gaining star systems in trade. When I go to check on that minor there are NO additional techs listed for them. Is this a bug? I would be happy to give them a star system WAAAY across the Galaxy and than declare war on them later and take it back, hehe.
One last thing. I 'refreshed' my page on the games page and it says Impulse Login Failed. Ok I am stumped what is it that is at my end that I can correct?
