My steam account is different email and names vrs here at Stardock

So I am about to hit the buy/purchase and I realized how does it (Stardock) know my steam account? My email and name here is different from there. How can it deliver my codes through steam if it does not know my steam account details?

 

Sooo please treat me like the idiot I truly am and will someone please explain things to me.....

does entering the email from here work when it asks you to enter your stardock account.

My stardock account and credentials are completely different from my Steam ones. Are we going to get a code at our Stardock registered email that we 'enter' at steam to get our game?

I think this won't be a problem, they will send you an invitation to your Stardock account email.

 

With this email you will be able to activate the game on your steam account (any account) once.

 

Think about Steam gift invitations which are sent by email, the gifted person can use the gift on any steam account.

When the game is available, they'll email you a code. You take that code into Steam and put it in to get the game. Stardock doesn't have to know your Steam credentials, and they don't have to match what you use here.

In fact, for security reasons they shouldn't match. :)

I just purchased fallen enchantress legendary heros because it came on sale. When I launched it from steam it asked for my stardock email. I assume galciv 3 will be the same.

It'll work like this

1) First become a founder. Yah!

2) Wait until alpha. Boooo!

3) When the alpha is released you will receive a CD-key from Stardock. Huzzah!

4) Use this cd-key to register the alpha on Steam. Anticipation!

5) Launch game and log in with your stardock account.

6) Enjoy the alpha! Hurrah!
