I noticed you mentioned you need more functionality with the Mini map, such as a Ping and the ability to order your Demigod to a location by clicking on the mini map. Demigod uses the strategic zoom feature from Supreme Commander - Zoom out, issue order, Zoom in. Using the mouse wheel is more fluid and stops you from playing the whole game on the mini map like you do in other RTS Games. Clicking the on the mini map to issue orders is not needed. The mini-map is more about looking at w

I'd love to go around posting positive reviews in a bid to get their scores up - however I honestly haven't played enough to do so. Apart from the single player component, I haven't played anywhere near enough Multiplayer to form a well founded opinion. I expect a lot of people would be in the same boat. Posting a positive opinion about a game I can't play is as dishonest as reviewers posting negative reviews of the same game.

I was able to play my first game today - I think ViciousFrost is right. We've done all we can, and now we can only hope Stardock do all that they can do and get things working. I'm getting very, very frustrated as well - I was expecting initial issues, but not this. I'm going to stick with it though - the single player stuff is pretty fun in the mean time.

Dear OP, Hi. Please do not make assumptions based on your own personal feelings and present them as the feelings of the community. Demigod was designed to be fun to play. You play it because it's fun. You don't play it because you want a long winded story about Demigods battling for a position of power. If you bought the game without researching it or looking into the community and purchased the game seeking a non-multiplayer centric title I suggest you contact the support sta

I can certainly see myself playing this game in a years time, providing the multiplayer issues are fixed. The thing that keeps me coming back the most is that it's my favourite parts of the RTS Genre; strategy, fighting, big armies. The difference here is you get to concentrate on the fighting and strategy parts and leave everything else to the computer. I don't think Demigod has been out long enough yet for the immature players to get a hold of it and throttle all life out of the com

It was most likely scaled back as Multi-player balancing took up more and more development time. I don't think they've delivered what Frogboy hinted at - however I don't mind. Multiplayer is awesome, and thats the reason I bought the game. If you bought Counter-Strike for the singleplayer component, you've missed he idea entirely.

There's no arguing that Demigod's launch is going to hurt it's reputation. If it had of launched smoothly, and the resulting review scores had of been higher, Demigod would have skyrocketed up the list of Most Played Online Games or at the very least the list of Most Wanted Games. The gameplay is simply fantastic and well crafted. However, as long as GPG and Stardock can remove the multiplayer issues, there is no permanent damage done to it's online community. Once the game functions

I've scanned and found no viruses, forwarded the ports as per instructions in the above linked forum and I'm still having the same problem, which is rather annoying. I'm looking to other possible solutions including trying games over Hamachi - if Hamachi games work then it would seem the problem is not on my side of things.

I'm currently experiencing simillar issues, although mine does return an error letting me know something is wrong with my NAT. I'm educating myself by reading through these forums as well as several others and working through the problems one at a time - so this could take a while to get this Ok on my end before I start flaming GPG [e digicons][/e] The first thing that appears to be a problem is viruses messing with network settings. I'm using Trend Micro's House Cal

When any reviewer plays a game, say Half-Life 2 for example, they complete the game and then submit their review based on their experience. Most reviewers will have at least one instance where they had to sit up all night finishing a game to meet a deadline. Why do they do this? So that they can accurately provide information based on the whole experience. Several games have fantastic openings and then really, really terrible middle and end sections and vice versa. When reviewing a mu

I just wanted to express my thanks to the guys and gals at GPG for all the hard work thats been put into Demigod since it's launch mere days ago to ensure that we're getting the best possible experience. I'm glad to see that, while not all the problems have been fixed, people can at least play the game and enjoy it. I haven't put in enough time with both single and multiplayer to give an 'offical' score, however this is dangerously close to being my new favourite strategy game and I t
