Good replay. I have some additional advice. Forget scope 1. Save the point and put it into snipe 2 and mines 2 at level 4. You end up with more kills, and you can push towers just fine with mines and/or a teammate. This replay is a case-in-point: With snipe 2, you would have had 3 more kills by level 6, and you would not have needed or even considered HW. Lately I've been finding that snipe 2 is more helpful than scope, by quite a bit. By level 5 with mines 2 and mark you can

It's hard to say. I expect everyone to be packing a sigil now, and I've lost some encouters because of it. However, if I'm able to get away, they just lost 500 gold. I wouldn't mind seeing it come into play a bit later - perhaps make it 750 gold?
He certainly gets good mobility for the points, but being unkillable because you can retreat doesn't make you formidable, it just makes you a pest. Erebus seems to be middle of the road in terms of strength 1v1. I've taken him out with a mine-happy regulus, I've pushed him back 1v1 using a squishy TB. He just doesn't dole out the damage fast enough to be a big problem. He does have good-to-great synergy with all demis, though - perhaps that in itself is an issue...
lifekatana, you need to read my post again. I mentioned that Erebus is not as strong in the late-game, but that was no my point. Erebus isn't overpowered in terms of health regen, damage, or anything. He just has the ability to leave the battlefield quickly if he has to. In almost every game I've played, he's never been particularly strong, but has done a good job when coupled with teammates (as all DGs do). He will get more kills than times he will die because he has an easier retrea
Erebus can be strong, but I haven't seen him be much stronger than any other DG. I do not find that he is more likely to win a given fight, he's just more likely to survive a fight he'd otherwise lose. He has a teleport retreat option (as do all generals if they use the favor item). I've used some pretty squishy, high DPS builds vs erebus, and they push him back as easily as any other DG. I find his DPS, at least as an assassin, very weak in the late-game. Assassin erebus seems to mak
Have you ever considered the fact that swap followed by warp strike is a like a free gank machine? Mana in, gank out... DA is an amazing support character for a team, he can suck an enemy DG out of his happy place into a world of pain, then warp back in and pick at the carcass in an eyeblink.... If his ally(ies) left him anything by then. He's outrageously effective past lvl 5, esp paired with a high damage spiker like Reg, Rook, or TB.
I get the invalid gamestate errors on average every 30 games or so. I haven't had many, and I've played over 200 games. They are there, but IMO the game is worth playing. It has some crashes, glitches, and lockups, but we can help that by submitting good bug reports. As a developer, the better the bug report, the easier the job was to do, and the easier it was to do, the faster it got done. If you get an invalid gamestate you can email all the relevent data to support, including your
Usually, if my teammates complain about my build, I know they are noobs. In this game, it's not about the build, it's how you use it and how you work together. If you don't work together as well as the other team, you lose, builds notwithstanding. I like playing DPS/maim reg sometimes. It does very good damage for aa and scales fast with the right items. I also like doing a mana intensive mine/snipe/mark reg. Only one of those two seems 'acceptable' to my teammates. If you are
Yeah I avoid lvl 2 myself. lvl 1 is okay and doesn't really set you back. You can miss the 1 pt in scope or EA. Not that it matters this last week or so - it seems very few games even get to lvl 15, nevermind lvl 20.
What I find interesting is that I'm having a hard time taking DA down as reg. Despite him having supposedly low hp, it seems people just hp stack him and carry a mana potion and they're in business. I managed to kill on in a game I just had only by a lvl 3 snipe, lvl 2 mark, baiting him over 6 shrap mines, then threw 3 more shrap mines at his feet. I made it out with about 20% hp. That required a plan to do, and it happened to work out exactly to plan. Had I not had those shrap mines, he woul
If i remember correctly, ranged units actually damage LESS the furtehr away they are. A normal attack, for example, would be upto 17-20% less in damage if at regs max range. Food for thought.
Nope. Reg hitting you with scope 3 at max range does the same damage as hitting you at melee range.
That's the full AA reg. Usually 1 pt into snipe for help with early ganks, and the rest to wings/scope/EA/maim and that's it. The mines actually give you some good early-game punch that lasts until lvl 10 or 11, by which time you dump your mana items and go attack AA. I'd also like to add that nature's reckoning is even more important to get than slayer's wraps - it's both a mana item and does more damage than the wraps, at least until later levels, thanks to the fact it ignores armor
IDK if anyone has used this reg build. I certainly haven't seen it in any games yet. In effect, you end up build an AA reg, but you start by getting mines and 1-2 levels of snipe, then proceed to dump all your points in stats, wings, scope, and maim. I've been using not because I find it partcularly strong (yet), but because it seems to keep the team bitching about no early snipes to a minimum. The build order goes something like this: 1) snipe 1 2) mines 1
#1 Don't play against players with win percentages much higher than yours. If you have 40% wins, don't go play against players with 60-70%, you'll most likely lose! Even worse, you'll annoy the other players who are losing because you're in way over your head.
I'm sorry, but this is simply false. I've played many people who have had >70% win ratios, and over 200 games. I win against them just as often as I do against guys with
Simply make God playable as a character He would have uber powerful spells like Oaks pentience except double damage, armour reduction, vampire effect and attack speed slowing as well. He would have 5000 starting health, 7000 mana (even though his spells only cost 50 mana tops) and 2500 armour He can summon ArchAngels which are effectively Regulus' but with swords and double the stats He also gets a 90% gold reduction on
IDK if it's just me, but it seems that stats and ratios are almost meaningless. Almost every teammate I've had played very well, provided they've played 150 games or more. Win/loss ratios almost never seem to matter - only the total games played. That being said, I try to make sure that the experienced players are evenly distributed between the teams... just in case.
As a support dps reg, I find maim is really invaluable. When you use it with wings it slows everything affected by the splash. I can't even count how many teammates I've saved with maim. Slowing mines comes too late, and mark is too weak in the late-game, plus if you are doing a full dps reg you will still get snipe. I also find scope really gives you an edge when combined with maim. If you have the anklet you can harass with near-impunity.
What has been working for me is to friend a couple of high-winners, and ask them to come to each team. Usually, people don't mind a 90% winner if they have a 75-90% as well on their side. As a plus, it makes the game more even and fun to play.
I've had a couple of games now using the overlay. It's wicked. I saw one where there was a hint of premade-ness about it, so I left, but the other two I was able to see the win/loss ratio, and since they were +/-4 pts from me, we played. Both games had the advantage shift between the teams at least one time. Both games were hard, but not impossible. It's an extremely good addition. The games have a higher degree of awesome now. People complain less too. Now if only we

It's one that can be (and against equal skill, is) made up later. Gold earned during your first encounter death is nothing to speak of. The respawn time is much shorter.
I played a game recently where I managed to convince my 2 teammates to get nature's reckoning. We has a group fight a short time later and I know at least two of our rings were hot - nothing but lightning. The 3 of us dropped the 3 of them in what seemed like 5 seconds flat. They were pissed.
