...
Let's consider the hypothesis you believe in. You basically have built in an axiom of sorts, kind of like how physics in essence has 'made up' the law of thermodynamics. This axiom is: "Complex, intelligent things can only be created by another intelligence". It then follows, that because we are complex it allows for our intelligence, unless there is an ultra-intelligent amoeba out there that we ha

You have not addressed now the supernatural can be modeled by science and remain supernatural. You have not provided any obeservations or data that can be falsified, therefore you haven't even begun to make a scientific argument. I don't see any indication yet that you have a real understandi

I had this game where I slipped and took the Manhammer (Mard's) instead of Renewal. I was a reg. I got 2 kills for my team by the time I hit lvl 3. When I played AF-based reg builds, almost every game would start with me getting a first kill (lvl 2 with maim, AF 1, and mards for 180 dps). Too bad those damage amplifiers lose some thunder the moment the enemy gets armor.

The damage done from full AF is faster and better and stronger than vengeance. I stopped using vengeance because it was just quicker to clear creeps with AF and mines - at lvl 15 it's giants time anyway. The other problem with vengeance is that it's useless in direct combat because of it's low DPS and reg's reliance of lifesteal items and autoattack to stay alive vs other demigods. If you're casting vengeance during that time you'll take damage for 2-3 seconds and not regen. Mana is j

The amount of science understanding fail in this thread astounds me. No, ID is not science. It has been explained why by a few of us here. No, debunking evolution is neither a proof nor a case for ID, because ID is not science. IDers aren't happy with science being methodological naturalism. They want it to allow the supernatural so they can basically try and make a scientific case for God. They don't understand that you can't study the natural world if you allow for t

I think there is a strong case for gadgeting a citadel though. Gadget cooldowns are very quick, so whoever is locking the local portals at the giants stange should probably also try and dump a gadget into the cit every time he goes by.

There is a lot of good science in climatology. Sometimes you get bad science, or scientist who 'fix' their results. They get found out sooner or later, when the model they've create breaks down. I haven't read through the documents - there are apparently a lot of them - so I can't make a quality assessment on these particular scientists. It is incorrect to assume that all climate science is bad because of this group. The topic itself if far larger than they are, and likely has many ot

I get a kick out of creationism (or intelligent design) arguments. I also get a kick out of the attempt to state that 'because current theories don't describe how life can be created spontaneously, life must have been created by some entity'. In other words, the scientific conclusion is not yet clear so you just inject, well, "God did it" into the argument. That works fine philosophically, but it's complete BS in the context of science. They key thing to remember is science doesn't know every

I'm surprised almost no one does this. You can add 2000 hp to any structure using the universal gadget. I've done it a few times to keep towers up in the knick of time. They are pricey, but not necessarily crippling. Thoughts?

I like the idea of an interrupt for mark. I think it would be nice if the slow lasted a tad longer though, so reg actually has a chance to escape. Mark is really the most practical slow reg has. I play reg a lot, and I'm pretty decent with him. I don't see him as having a big mana problem, but to make him work he ends up being mana heavy like TB. As with TB, hungarlings is a must-have item.
