Ok Guys and Gals here is the post I promised. I asked and some have said they will go along with the idea of taking one day and talking about positives either between the two main parties or about AMERICA or AMERICANS in general. I have asked conservatives to find nice things to say about liberals and liberals to find nice things about conservatives. So I will start this thread(a bit early as I need to go sleepy soon). I have two things I would like to mention.

Its amazing to me that on this forum and in life I have to listen to conservatives tell me they dont like democrats because they "give money away poor people who are lazy and dont do anything." Here you have these 2 yahoos, who really haven't done anything(well anything good anyway), and they walk away with millions. Dont tell me that the rich dont scam their way to money even more so than poor people who are trying to do it. The difference is that when rich people do its ca
Yes. Dan Akroyd is President. James Garner and Jack Lemmon are Ex presidents. John Heard plays the VP, and has the best line of the movie (and why I call our governor Ted Matthews): "It was all just a fay-kade"
Maybe I will have to rent it and check it out again.
I didn't know Bush was in Congress... learn somethin' every day here.
Voting for his policies...serious?

I meant he has veto power and the dems dont have a majority. Sorry wasnt real clear on that one. But didnt he have only 1 veto in the first 6 years?
I'm willing to go for it, of course, on September 11th I usuallly run a 9/11 Parody, so I usually don't get too controversial or political. ;~D
Cool, thanks ted.
Actually, it was Black people on the Left who were saying that.
yes agreed they were AS WELL...hey Ted check out my 9/11 post I hope you will consider taking that pledge.
Hmm, makes you wonder if so, why all the fuzz with Palin? Hypocrisy anyone?
I actually agree with you here. My belief is that there is no experience that can prepare you to be president. Many former presidents have said so, repubs and dems.
Yes, more free stuff to the lazy and the "helpless". One would think those who need help and can't afford it don't get any.
I dont think any real democrat would want this.&nbs
Obama has strengths? But you are partially right. McCain has no core other than power. And I dont trust him. I only trust Obama to do 2 things. Appoint Liberal Jurists and be the 2nd coming of Jimmy Carter. In that, he will serve some good. Everyone will forget about Bush in 4 years if he is elected (do people still vilify Nixon? Not many and mostly just the loons).
So my father is a loon? He remebers Nixon well, and has a bu
The Author states that McCain has voted for Bush 90% (this is a wrong percentage) yet he has gone against his party 33% of the time before. Obama since becoming a senator has nearly 100% of the time voted with his party which leaves oh about .01% of the time against his party. You can see this at the congressional quarterly voting study.
McCain himself said he was proud to vote with Bush 90% of the time. That would represent what we have had
That she may be doing. It is politics after all. And the art of politics - on both sides - is to state the truth in an unflattering light about your opponent (like McCain voting with Bush 90% of the time).
Well I agree that they do this in politics do wish as I that they wouldnt. I wish they would just have their plans and debate each other and let us decide who we want. You and I know but there are others that dont know who they will vote for yet.
Have you seen "My Fellow Americans"? Pretty good movie (but then I am a James Garner fan).
I think so but I only vaguely remeber it...comedy right?

Come on Dr Guy just one day, you dont even have to create a post with your name on it I will do it and then you guys can post your stories there. I will post it the night before when I go to sleepy time.
But everyone would say "except mine...." no matter how sleezy they are (the politicians being sleezy, not the voters).
Well then maybe you and I should run for the presidency and vice presidency and show them all....I will rock/paper/sissors you for who gets to be on top of the ticket.......Sorry I am in a weird mood today [e digicons]:cylon:[/e]
McCain's choice of Palin highlights McCain's lack of a consistent vision. Is he a "maverick" or is he just another right wing politician looking to satisify the usual Republican constituents?
This is an interesting point. Yes his choice was not a "Maverick" move it was a move to make the far right wing of the Republican party happy. Hardly sounds like a maverick to me. If he was a true maverick he would have picked the person he has said he really want
I'm not American, same story with many on these boards Sounds like a nice gesture, but i'm not sure you could really enforce it.
there is no way to enforce it, I just thought maybe we could all take a day off of fighting. Even if your not american, were all human, so lets tell some good positive stories about things that have worked in politics even if it was your opponents that enacted or suggested them:)
Really, it's disgusting. You don't see right-wing nutcases dressing as the KKK, do you?
No they just keep saying that obama is not black enough and stuff like that.

Obviously this is not cool, if this were me and my kid I would laugh at it myself, but thats just me I dont take stuff like this seriously, it is kiinda funny, but also there is no place for it. Another question though how do you know who put this on ebay. Maybe they have no political affiliation and were just being dumb?

20 Replies 36,067 Views

they are probably AFK. This is not a great MP game though, lots to technical problems.
I miss the old chevy chase imitations of him. DO you realize what they would do (YOUTUBE wise) if he were president today?
Yes But I think Ford would have laughed about it. From what I remeber and have seen he had a good sense of humor about it.

She uses the names Obama/Biden because she knows it will deliberately mislead people to think "hey obama and biden said this" If your going to accuse, then accuse the right people like you would have to in a court of law.
