I don't think the price is going to drop any time soon, so I'd say its worth it since you can help adjust the development of the game if you can provide meaningful feedback. If you're not interested in doing that, then you should have a love for 4x strategy games. If you don't love 4x strategy games and don't want to contribute to the game's growth, then you should have a love for art. If you also are not a very big fan of art, or a fan of the other previously mentione

**EDIT** WHOAH, wrong game. Sorry I totally defaulted to this being a stardock game (where the save games are generally hidden in the documents folder) Not sure about this divinity game.

Frogboy was originally pitching the idea that if you kill a sovereign, any land controlled by your married off daughters (that is not equally controlled by another player now) will become yours, allowing dynasty to be a path to victory by marrying your children off to warring factions (and claiming land once one side defeats the other) I'm not sure if that is currently implemented, but we may want to keep in mind that is likely the ultimate goal of the dynasties. &

Originally you could not expand outside your sphere of influence without spending essence. That was a cool mechanic, however there were a few problems: settlers were not really implanted at that time, influence did not spread quickly enough, the dragons that spread it on their own were rare and you could not tell what was habitable and what was not because they (I assume boogiebac) opted to use a very pale and hard to see green on the cloth map.

you can uninstall impulse when you are done updating if impulse offends you so much. Just reinstall every major patch, update, and then uninstall. Heck, I swear most update programs go through basically the same number movements to patch a game.

Having the fortune to meet Tamren in person, I believe he is still around and his general absence has nothing to do with disappointment with combat (though might be a factor if he is using less spare time here when he could be playing civilization V or something like that). I bet he's just in a time, like me, when suddenly he needs to get a career or something going and has less spare time than he is accustom. You know that time, when early 20s transforms into the rest of on

woah, a necro post! You've got some decent feedback Gazz, but that might be better put in a new thread or into a more directly on-topic thread in the 'ideas' or the general forum rather than 5 pages in on video demo thread that hasn't had a post since May-16th (and it now being november) and when the discussion for the last couple pages of the thread doesn't exactly in sync with what you wanted to add. Your ships comment could be a thr
My full name is Tobias, so go ahead and call me that and call it a day. I'm sure no one has a problem with Gobias Industries, right?
Gobias Industries? or is that supposed to be "Tobias Industries"

Besides; It still has time to get the "Best expansion pack since Starcraft: Broodwar" award. I can't play Galactic Civilizations without at least one expansion pack these days, I suspect in two years I'll feel the same about Elemental.

WOAH... considering the layer tendancy of the music, I'm weirded out by the concept of switching out the music. I played with that during the beta to receive very crazy effects in the menu. I'm not sure if they still layer it like that though. It used to be that the files were like 3 different files for a single song.

it has been a while. man... somebody owes me a multiplayer game. (I forget who, but I remember his avatar with that colored 80's look) I miss reading Tamren. That guy always had a wall of text about weaponry this or that. I also miss saying "bear cavalry" and counting the minutes until Luckmann appeared to say something about it. I guess I created my screenname prior to elemental rolling out. (must have done it

perhaps we can all hope for more mounted units in the future. That being said, I recall seeing 2 warg mounted troops in an army before.

I am not suggesting that it is boring, as I have a lot of fun with the combat. However, I would like to express the need for an 'auto' button that doesn't instantly end the battle. in MoM and HoMM you could set it to automatically move for you at a quicker pace. You could stop the auto-combat if you needed to make important commands or take back over if the battle is not going in your favor.

on the subject of longbowmen, I think the problem is there are no 'weak' ranged units. The moment you get archery, you take such a massive power jump there is little point to build anything else. Archery should start with like, slingers or something to that level. Something that is only really good when in mass, of if there is a wall of units in front of it. (Slingers in MoM pretty much died in one hit, and did peasily damage unless you had like a full army of 9 of t

Sorry I do enjoy a good debate. I am not terribly interested in comparing the units to SC2 because there really isn't much to compare. (I would agree with the rook comparison. slow, heavy monster is very much like terran in concept) I would almost say that the generals are most like the protoss (with the exception of oak and the vampire) because they can spawn units out on the battlefield. Perhaps the cat chick, because she creates units on the battlefi

I am a little befuddled at the reports of pirate problems. Even after diplomacy I've never really had pirate issues. They destroy a lot of stuff, but not more than the AI does by themselves. (I mean unless you're playing on easy or something, where the AI just kinda lies down) But yeah.... easy. If you don't like it with pirates... turn them off. Even if I subtracted a whole star for a feature that is easily turned off I'd give this game about a 4 of

I personally really enjoy pirates. It makes me feel like my starbases are worth something (because a starbase + couple of hangers + repair bay) can hold off all but the very strongest pirate fleets (and then it will give you PLENTY of time to get your fleet back. usually only a capital ship or 2 will be enough to turn the balance just because of the mixed priorities when the pirates are trying to decide what to shoot) Not to say that my starbases arn't worth anything norma
