It still exists in the game, its just not a starting talent. I've seen heroes around with it.

yeah, I miss it too. But them's the ropes. Gotta find some sort of way to get it in game reliably I guess.
lots-o-houses If you have plenty of room, you'll grow to have plenty of influence. At this time I don't believe there is a whole lot that increases influence without also increasing population. At some point in the future I hope we'll see more that plays with influence ( "Just cause", the spell from MoM always makes me think of spreading influence)
It certainly does feel like the interface could be improved for the spell books. I approve this discussion.
Are there any other instant destruction spells yet?
I'm holding my breath for the explosion of new spells I expect to see in Dec. at some point (since the 'design your spell' contest ends around then somewhere) I'm not sure if I'd blame 'tech trees' for the fault with the current magic system, just lack of spells. Honestly in the beta an abundance of spells should have been created with little to no animations or art assets, then the ones that were mechanically boring should have been weeded out and the rest should
huh... I usually just hit the bandit archers with a spell (or cast shield on my own dudes) and win. (but I die to random lowly minions of my enemies equipped with clubs) club
hmm alien hybrids gestate in anything.... are they mana ?
That sounds like more of a philosophy question. However, according to wikipedia it is debatable that even inanimate objects have mana, so I imagine aliens would have it too.
It is open to anybody who has purchased Elemental. Simply check "show pre-release" in impulse to allow the update to be available.
Sometimes two adult life forces fall in love and the baby life force is called 'mana'. Being that it is a baby it can exist in everything.
Offensive spells work early on. Later on, particularly against other player/AI controlled units (rather than neutral units) it seems there is some crazy resistance that I cannot figure the source. I suspect that they naturally cast spell resistance enchantments on their units if going against spell casting opponents.
In theory you can imbue champion out of normal units if you really want.
Charisma is kinda' by dump stat (I want to be a beast on the battlefield, not somebody everybody likes. If I wanted to be somebody everybody liked I'd figure out how to mod in my 'just cause' spell)
nah, he's talking about "ico" the game for PS2 (and soon the PS3)
by "reinstall" I assume you mean 'uninstall' then 'install' rather than just 'install over existing install'? Perhaps you can badger them on IRC.
It might not be balanced exactly right but Civ 5 has the best system so far, manually built roads with a high maintenance cost.
isn't that the opposite of what Civ 5 had?
The only thing is there would have to be some sort of way the NPC can force the human player not to attack anyway. So there must be a point assigned to "don't attack me for X turns" to money extorted for NPCs to agree.
are you talking about the default generic units that are included by default? I wasn't aware we had 'auto design' quite yet. (If I'm forgetting such a major feature please let me know)
Is there not another condition to the blink spell? (I forget if that is a combat spell or a strategic spell)
I'm glad to see feedback is generally positive. I half expected to hear people complaining that things changed.
I feel there are quite a few spells that would fit without too much change to the system but still be very interesting spells. I just wish I could submit more than one. (I'm going to start writing them down to post when the contest is over)
what skills says is the truth, they cost less than T-shirts these days. already USB drives are given away as swag in place of clothes in some places I've been.
- New DDR Challenge Mode - At the beginning of combat, any champion can challenge an opposing champion to a DDR dance off. The loser sits out of the combat overwhelmed by the levels of pwnage.
All honestly an ability for a champion to challenge other champions might be cool if implemented properly. I'd want a great "wizard duel" like the one between Avatar and Blackwolf in Wizards.
only I got in while they were still offering first 2 expansions for free
wha? I wasn't aware this was ever going to expire. That is so they can get in the polish you mentioned to be lacking. Its a matter of principle to them to ensure their customers have a certain amount of quality. P.S. currently (pre-1.1) 'free play' is actually a lot more polished and playable than the campaign. If you have not done
there goes Annatar laying down the concrete. So Solid!
