We've all seen them, so how about an online survey by Stardock of it's products and services? It seems like a good way to get honest, constructive, positive (I would hope) feedback. Things like accessability for people with disabilities, functionality, installation, sales, support, ease of use, reliability, overall satisfaction, etc. I would think that both long-time and new users like myself could provide some data that could be useful in future product and service improvements. I'm

"I'm pretty anal about leaving traces of it in my registry and file system." Eusing Free Registry Cleaner.Goes so deep into your registry, you'll have to come up for air! I only use it to root out orphans after an un-install, it finds everything. Not for the faint of heart.Use at your own risk.I've also gotten into the habit of creating a restore point daily and before any system change.Much easier than going through all this, you can always delete them later.

My eyes are shot too, but I suspect a perfect balance throughout the entire skin is getting harder and harder to find,as more elements are skinned and hardware and software changes. Besides, wulfn1, it gives us a good excuse to use some of the great work from days gone by. :d I.R.Brainiac, your work speaks for itself. Light, dark, somewhere in-between ,you are an innovator and a true Master. Thanks for sharing them. :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT:

I just ran the update 6.09g.137 for WB6, showing in SDC and Impulse, through SDC. The result..wiped out WB6. I had to do a system restore to get it back. I unchecked pre-release on SDC but not Impulse, but wanted to try the beta anyway. Everything works now,but the update contained my missing explorer backgrounds. Those sure would be nice to have back. Please help. [Edit: just updated through Impulse, everything works, case closed]

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. It's been 35 years now and I still grieve for my Grandpa, the greatest, kindest man I have ever met.I've spent most of my life trying to live up to his example. They sure leave some big shoes to fill.

I've had that flashing around my start button for over a month now, it's quite noticable with dark desktops/skins as it's pure white on mine. no trigger event, just comes and goes. Seemed to show up after one update or another. No other known problems with WB6.May be an unrelated issue as I run a HP PC, nVidia 6150SE, Vista Home Basic with no aero. I did mention it to support,I just try to ignore it. A separate thread may be a good idea just to see if others see it too.

I have e-mailed sales twice during business hours and 5 hours later,no reply. I even checked in junk, spam, etc. All I need are a few answers before I happily send Stardock some money. I guess my question now is "Who's minding the store?" Should I try again tomorrow or wait for a reply? Kinda takes the impulsiveness out of Impulse, but I can wait. (:(

This is one of the reasons I dislike "fast food" restaurants, have you seen what some of THOSE employees do with their hands and your food. I'd rather eat out of my cats' food dish.:P

Home Basic = Demo version I suppose.I'm ok with it's limitations. I really don't know any better. :p I will be getting ODNT tomorrow regardless, Deskscapes or no.I'm sure I will have enough to try to learn to keep me busy. I never watch movies on this pc anyway. I've got a widescreen hi-def TV, a dvd player and a dvd recorder so I don't want to spend money on extras I won't or can't use.Btw, Bebi, you put a link in the forums(old post) to a stack docklet and I just want to say Thank You very

The Impulse website says I will need a video codec capable of playing DVD (mpeg2)? files. I do know that Vista Home Basic does not have one,and my machine came with HP's in house DVD software and WMP11.I am just unsure about what else I need or if it is even possible with this version of Vista. Like I said though, even without deskscapes, it's still one heck of a good value. I'll check out your link Bebi, you are always helpful to us newcomers.I'm sure this isn't my last dumb question. ;p Thank

Thanks Zubaz. I'll be checking with sales tomorrow about prices, the mailman had good news today! I'll have to look into that plug in thing, though.I have WMP11 sans dvd and could use some advice as to what I need for dreams to work. just a link to more info would be a great help. The last working computer I used was an Apple IIc so I"m a little behind the times, to say the least. Will HP DVD play still work or can I uninstall it? Even without the dreams, I'm sure I won't be disappointed. :D

This pertains to WB6 and ODNT and subscriptions so I hope I'm in the right place. Now I am totally confused! I purchased WB6 3months ago as a stand alone after using the trial version for less than 2 hours. I know, I'm an easy sell!lol I also bought a WC sub('cause you deserve it) Does this mean I won't get any WB6 updates after 1/15/09 or will I get them until the next numbered version? Does the WC sub have any bearing on WB/ODNT updates? Can WB6 be "traded-in"
