Make sure the texture is the correct file type before you zip it. Then do as Wiz said.
I did it and when I checked it, it said there was no .usi file in it. Now what?
Just zip it and rename it with the .wba extension.
And use a screen shot of the texture on a Windowblind for the preview?

18 Replies 7,383 Views

OK, so it got rejected (not surprised) because it wasn't a .wba file. But when you save in PSP there is no option for saving it in that format, so how do you make it a .wba? And the preview, that's supposed to be a screenshot?

Well, I sent in a texture but I'm not sure I did it right. I zipped the file itself and used a .jpg as the preview. I tried to install it on my system and it showed up and I can use it BUT it's a LOT paler than it was made to be. Any ideas on why that would happen?

All in all though, if someone asks what was wrong with a piece so they can make it better or do one better next time, the mod responding doesn't need to be rude or insulting, I don't care how jaded they may have become.

Jabborwocky has slithy toves, so it's just too brillig for me. But I love "You are Old Father William"! LOL But as for this thread, I refuse to play.
It was checked by the mods and quality wise didn't qualify for the public gallery - thus it was sent to your Personal gallery.
So, I'm wondering...quality wise I can't see anything wrong as far as focus, framing, etc. I added some effects to intensify the colors and bring the subject to the forefront. So is it the subject matter that isn't good? And it got 3 stars......?
I am also curious, as according to the guidelines, we are not allowed to do personal photos or screen captures? I see these in the gallery and am just wondering if the guidelines have changed? Logons No personal photos. No game screens/movie & tv stills etc. Uploads of Logons are restricted to 5 per day, all overages will be rejected. Vista and Windows 7 logons are currently moderated

In the years I've been making Logon screens I've noticed that if the mods give a submission 1 star or less, it won't be in the public gallery. I submitted a screen a couple days ago that received 1 1/2 stars but it didn't make the gallery. OK. But I just submitted one that got 3 stars and it still isn't in the public gallery. Did somebody forget to send it over there or what? Do stars still matter? <span style="font-size: x-

Doc, I ran the scan and it said it found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. What do I do in a case like that? Or is there anything I can do?

43 Replies 16,358 Views

I checked everything over and it's all fixed. I got text on my menus, the color is right and except for the text on here, everything seems fine! Funny how an update on Windowblinds changed it all. I want to thank all of you so much for the help in tracking this down and the lesson on adding pictures to this site! <span style="font-size: small;

I went back and checked the install again, and this time it said it WASN'T installed right and that there was an update available. So I updated, but I haven't looked to see what all has changed except now this forum is in a different font! [e digicons][/e]

Wiz, I checked and it appears to be installed correctly. And I only just downloaded the free version of Winstep that I got from this site a couple days ago.
11.6 here as well. Didn't Knot Aero come as an XP skin first (Knot Vista) Is MG using the correct one for her OS?
Yes, I just double checked and It's the right one for Vista. I knew I couldn't be lucky enough that it was that simple. Good thought though. BTW, I've tried all kinds of blinds and it's the same on all....
what is that menu from? what program? I have seen something similar in windows 7 while going through the Winstep configuration menus. Edit: that IS a winstep menu, lol. I get the same thing there. I think it might be a winstep issue. Have you seen it anywhere else?
Yes it is! Very astute of you, I'm impressed.

WOW, it worked! Thanks for that info, Dude. I just never paid any attention to the buttons on this forum, or ever wanted to post a pic. Now, another problem, I just noticed the text on some parts of this site is pink! [e digicons]:maybe:[/e]
