Mega Events have certain triggers that will up the percentage of them happening. I *believe* the Peacekeepers come when there tends to be a lot of warfare/ships flying around. Dread Lords when the galaxy is relatively static. Jagged Knife tends to come at the end of colonizing in a relatively static environment.

Only the Emperor can appoint players to the Senate. Unfortunately, Ghostwes (the Grand Poobah) has been on extended vacation and hasn't been around the forums lately.

Similarly, there is also "McKean's Law". Muphry's Law states: "If you write anything criticizing editing or proofreading, there will be a fault of some kind in what you have written". You must not have turned off the Influence Victory condition. Though the easiest way to check is to go to the Victory Conditions screen and make sure they all say "Not Enabled"
In short, if you are going to use the Super Warrior ability, build ships with LOTS of powerful weapons, minimal defenses and ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK. Be very offensive. Stick with Medium Hull ships- why? Cuz you can have more in a fleet, meaning more weapons, meaning better kills, and IF you happent to lose one, its not as a big of a loss. Being the fastest around helps too, almost think of your ships as Raiders, and go about destroying all that is in your path.
Mumblefratz is best to answer this, but I seem to recall that each Difficulty was a slight modifier to score- that is Tough is equal to 1.0, Painful 1.1, Cripplin 1.2, Maso 1.3, Obscene 1.4, Suicidal 1.5 and vice versa in the oppoiste direction. Though, obviously I can't say that with any certainity, just experience and earlier discussions back in the day

only the social/military values. you can research normally on extreme worlds, assuming you build the labs somehow (rush build as an example)
you can find an updated cheat list on the galciv wiki: https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Galactic_Civilizations_Wiki
in DL they changed when you can find "Lucky Rangers" until after Year 5. I've never come across a Precursor ship either in my own control or the AIs in Twilight as of yet, but I never heard/read that the 5yr limitation was in place. That being said, I do not find them to be "game-breaking", though that could be from me being used to playing on higher difficulties where the AI is building ships with attacks in the 100s by the end of the first year due to their research and miniat
My name was called, and so here I am. I did some testing back on this last fall, you can read the post here: https://forums.galciv2.com/326874 There was another thread somewhere where Cari answered, saying it was due to the AI putting too much emphasis on influence (more correctly, losing worlds to other's influence) Kryo seconded this in my post. Brad even seemed to notice so
Soul Sole and I have been working on this very enigmatic ability this past week. It appears/comes into play when a weaker ship/fleet is in battle with a stronger opponent. It may or may not appear in Planetary Invasions. Since the numbers themselves don't appear in the debug.err, we're having a very hard time determining what it actually does. Our only hope lies in getting +100 Luck to work in TA (as that way weapons always roll their full value)
yer missing out on an awesome show SS; and to be honest, i really don't care who or what is the last cylon, im just along for the ride
they have just a ship pack available at i-mod-productions.com

something I actually know the answer to :-) The issue that you are encountering is the 2GB limit that is inherent and the critical flaw of 32 bit OS systems. No amount of altering your virtual memory, paging files, or anything else will aid in your endeavor. Its why Brad has made a point about it before, it hasn't *really* been an issue yet, but unless we fully switch to 64bit or higher, we will have a definite ceiling on what our games/programs are able to do.
though the starships in the Stargate Universe travel MUCH faster than any equivilant Star Trek vessel; for example a Star Trek Starship travelling at TNG Cochrane Warp Factor of 9.9999 (an impossible speed to reach for all 'current' Starships) would take 15 years to reach the Pegasus Galaxy (under the assumption, as given by dialogue, that the Pegasus Galaxy is the Pegasus Dwarf Irregular Galaxy which is about 3 million LY away from the Milky Way) vs A Daedalus-Class s
All that being said- you, if you are part of an empire that is on the AltMeta, will get full credit for each and every game when they are submitted. But only active players/games are tracked, as they depriciate by IIRC ~15% each month (so 0pts after 6 months). In other words: the Metaverse will give you stats on LONG term players/games since the inception of the MV, while the AltMeta will give you stats on all CURRENT/ACTIVE games/empires/players. The AltMeta can be found here
I also have to comment on the treaties. IMHO there should be a possibility to cancel them as well as the opportunity to get other races to cancel theirs and switch over to deal with you instead. As it is now, A.I. players always help each other very early with treaties and there is no chance for me to get in later.
The funny, or sad really, thing is that it was obviously planned for you to be able to suspend treaties,
If the Gerontocracy is set up as Invite Only or Moderated; I believe that anyone with Senator status can send out Invites; and I know for sure that in Moderated, that a Senator can approve/deny the application process. Since you are a Senator in the Gerontocracy, GW Swicord, you should be able to check all this out yourself in the Metaverse, My Empire, screens. EDIT: After doing some testing, it seems to be a holdover effect from the MV empires not updatin

I don't have EU (since i'm in the States), but in my GalCiv2/Twilight directory there is "Event Music" folder with a file listed as Twilight_MainTheme. You should be able to just copy the DL theme into this folder, rename it to "Twilight_MainTheme" and it will now be what plays when you start the game. Obviously you should back up the original file.
