@Frogboy In december (if I recall), I read that a playable demo would be available early 2011. I don't see it in the road map (and it's probably not the place to put it), but we are a bunch of friends who are waiting to play the demo because we think we will like this game, but since money is rare, we want to try it before. Do you still have plans for a playable demo and if yes, approx. when do you think it'll be available? Regards.

Hey Frogboy, no playable demo planned for Elemental? I'm waiting for this actually to buy it since I'm not sure I'll love it. Please let me know, DT
Hey. I was keeping my last Totalgaming token for this micro-expansion... On their website, I don't see the place to pre-order. If not available, will it be possible to buy it that way? I hope so!
bump... can Stardock confirm me something about this at this point? I only waiting for that for pre-order. My last token is waiting... :)
great, I saw this post this morning... No late entries? :)

Great preview, thanks goodgimp. I must try it before... really not sure my PC will handle it :( It's a shame they don't have a playable demo!
I checked X3:TC. Well, I ran the demo that benchmark my PC and I don't think I can run it hehe. My average FPS is 14. But, I have a new laptop and I'll try on it. In the meantime, even after watching the demo and the trailer, I have absolutly no idea of the gameplay. All I say is screenshots of space with ships or battles presented like a video. How do you play this game, how do you trade, etc? I can't find screenshots with text! :) Thanks
wow, lots of suggestions! I'll make some research and try those games, especially if there are demos out. Thanks to you all for all this, I'll surely find something I like in all this. But, keep the thread active, I'm sure there are others hehe.
Hey, I've been a huge fan of the X-Wing series and let's say a good fan of the Wing Commander series. Also, in those, there is one game that I very much liked, at least for the ideas, was Wing Commander Privateer. Being a smuggler and combat pilot was really nice. I liked the fact that you had to smuggle goods to make money and fight through it and improve you ship with different parts. Since those games, the PC industry very much abandoned this s
Alright, the new update fixed the problem discussed here. Thanks Stardock :) But I found 2 others. 1- When I minimize the Google Chrome window, it minimizes ok, but for some reason twice. I click the button, I see the minimize, then I see the window maximized again and then the window disappear (minimized). The problem is only present when the window is full screen. 2- The other problem is that, again only when the window is full screen, when the mouse cursor points on
Philly, I'm using Fences on 2 XP machines, but that's not related. For MyColors, it's the first time yes. Never tried on XP, but tried now (previous post) on Vista. The skin is ok with IE and other windows under Vista. Only Chrome has this problem, at least that I noticed. Not sure it is revalent, but my Vista is 64 bits.
Same thing here. Actually, the problem I have looks like there is a incompatibility in the upper bar where the Minimize, Maximize and Close small buttons. There is an offset. So if I click on the Minimize button, I click on nothing. If I click on the Maximize, it's like I click on Minimize. There is a screenshot. Look at the top right part, you will understand. I second that!
I have a question for the OP, did you not read the spec the games needs, or are you just asking this question because you were bored?!
constructive comments. I asked because I wanted to know and yes I read the specs. Please read reply #9 from VarekRaith . Plus,
Harpo: yeah... My problem is that I need to finance it at the moment. The only ways I have are: Dell and stores (like FutureShop). With stores, I searched a lot around my place and haven't found any laptop having a nice video card below 1500$. But this Dell model has a big discount presently, so that's kind of my only choice hehe. And it comes with Vista... But out of curiosity, what do you think of Dell and why? thanks guys, I'll order it!
Hey, I'm about to buy a laptop and my final question is if Sins will play ok on it. I don't have the money to buy a war machine, so that's basically the highest I can go. If this laptop cannot do it, I'll just buy a cheaper one and stick with its main purpose: school. Here it goes: Dell Studio 15 - with Vista Home Premium 64bits 4Gb Ram DDR2 800MHz Intel® Core™ 2 Duo P8600 (2.4GHz/1066Mhz FSB/3MB cache) 512MB ATI Mo
If somebody wants to gamble, St.Louis are playing incredibly well till the trade deadline... actually, they are the best team since then in the NHL (according to win %). Them and Carolina are nice sleeper picks :)
Injuries are making things really hard to guess... Hossa is down in Detroit, Elias in NJ... But also, every team is better than last year... Detroit vs MTL/Pitts last year wasn't really hard to guessm but this year, man it's gonna be tight. I would go for SJ vs Boston with Boston winning it in 6.
Well deserved.
Couldn't agree more. Congratulations Stardock!!
Thanks for the info!! Well... a PBeM game can take many months... Too long for me I think hehe.
unicatsins : A&A is more one-on-one. I think it's better for 2 players. But that's a personal opinion. TI is amazing if you are more than 2-3 people. It's free-for-all but you can make "alliances" with others for trading and political purposes. I wrote alliances with "" because they can
Hey, We played our first game, the introductionary one, on saturday night. We all had read the rules so it went pretty smoothly actually. A 3 player game that we really enjoyed. The next day, we played a 6 player game with 4 experienced gamers (we found those guys in our co-workers!) and it was a blast. Really an amazing game. I just wanted to recommend this game to anybody reading this thread. Go get it for Christmas, you won't regret it!
wow. Incredible. For multiplayer, could be nice to establish what's available before the game starts by auto-getting what's missing. There could be a screen where each player can vote or chose custom stuff and when everything is decided, the game auto-download what's needed and then starts. Just a suggestion, you probably already have better ideas hehe :)
if it helps, I cast my vote for this also!
Thanks! That will help. +1 for you :)
