www.jeuxvideo.com (a french site) rated Demigod 14/20. Sh..tty test (as always and as Gamespot's test.) According to JVC, Demigod's negative points: - Repetitive (Lasting appeal: 10/20, lol) - No tutorial - Only 8 Demigods and 8 map - Only a DOTA copy - Online issues... Like Gamespot Conclusio
In my experience Stardock customer support service has always been good, a lot more than asking on the forum where you sometimes get really cold answers. The customer service is usually quick and polite and it's indeed a good point of stardock.
(Please fix the quote button, it quest random things)
Would a pushed back release date have changed something since the retail version was checking for update as soon as the game was launched ?
Who's fault for making a retail version before having finished and polished the game? Not pirates.
If having a more polished experience is so important to you then just put the game down for a month and play it later.
Wait a second, blaming pirates for everything is not a thing that Stardock should do. The game has/have flaws even before being pirated and connection issue is not a things that come only from pirated copies. The problem is that SD e GPG overlooked something and release the game before it was completly tested (connection issue was there even in the beta, the others point that make the review score down were limited content and no story). Also connection issue due to useless version che
Still don't like a couple of things about this game (balance and unfinished state) but now connecting to a game is quicker and I can enter a game within a minute instead of almost never. well done.
Thanks Brad for the update. I have to say; don't bother review, they are always wrong. The good one and the bad one. 10 of 10? Ridiculous. Why? How can a review can be so accurate to give a perfect score to a game that can't actually be played properly in multiplayer where 90% of the game resides. The same way a review that give 6.5 take care of the fact that it has a lot of connection issue, but not the fact that it can improve a lot in that in a possibly short time (for that sho
I never said that I don't have faith in Stardock or that they won't fix these issues but is a fact that the game came out with some underjudgment flaw. Even without the anticiped release that flaw existed. Until beta was on that didn't matter but when a game is released it's critical and point out how good the work was done. I also never said that the game is bad or similar. It's indeed good graphically, run almost smothly, and most of the time is challenging and enjoiable. A
Althought having a lot of faith in Stardock (really earned faith) I disagree. The game was meant of coming out without that many flaws as you always bragging about having the retail game with few to zero issue and balanced using update only for improvement. And you used that as a good point in your develpement against other developer method. In true, even with a so good beta phases, the game come out unfinished, with still some unbalance (stun spam, more players with the sa
The game is still unbalanced (stun spam, more player with the same demigod, and has flaws (playing in multiplayer it's a hard thing to obtain). No problem when still in beta but when released it's a really bad thing to do for a developer. Also number of demigod and maps are things that people will get bored soon enough.
Go Brad Go! I have to add a point: the main critics about Goo is the reselling things that most of the publishers hate. The point is that if you make a game that you want to resell in few month (the time in while it can affect the product selling) than it's a publisher fault. I think that game like GalCiv2 or SotSE take a lot more time to make people bored (except the case they didn't like it at the beginning and in that case we can call it a mistaken purchase and it's right to re
I don't know how much I waited for this. Customers must have back the power that slowly was drained from them. With this Goo thing customer can choose at any times which service of which provider he want based on how good the service is. That's the only way to make provider wishing to improve their service. Otherwise a not so good provider with unfair methods that has gained the biggest catalogue in a filthy way could possibily rule the world of DD without improve itself, and that's
How much cool a game can became with years?
Not the place to ask, but is there a hope for seeing Bionic Commando Rearmed on Impulse?
I do not wish for a DD monopoly. It's good to have a reason to improve. What I wish is a monopoly of player over the game he bought and own. When I buy a game I shouldn't have to worry about which software I'll have to install to playing it, how often and how fast it'll get update, compatibility issue with retail or other DD title (for istance Overlord on Steam can't run the expansion Rising Hell, many games can't use mods due to Steam's modded executable, and so on).
I can't check now due to latency on the report of my credit card but I think that games was charged with the correct price even if wrongly displayed. Or at least is what I hope. Would be good and official word on that.
Not to criticize on a so good offer, but how come that all 3.99$ games became automatically 3.99€ (written like this 2.99 3.99€)?
I really hated DotA years ago. It' was unbalanced, full of overpowering things, bad designed, frustrating. The way the heroes was designed was horrible, everybody uses cunning one because did more damage, and could take damage as the slow tank one. Bad bad bad. But the idea wasn't too bad. So I followed demigod with interest because I hope to see here what DotA couldn't be. I liked much more tower defences that's share similar concept, I thin
Can only host game with hamachi. I'm behind a router. All configured following many guides, nothing work right and I cant see others games. Hope next build have multiplayer support or I cant test-> make the game better.
The bug is now fixed if someone had the same problem.
What was that for a bug? Just wondering you know.
When you insert your cretit card information, the year of expiration never goes up over 2014 so if your credit card expire from 2015 and above your order cannot be completed. However I have reported the bug and they now know so they'll fix it soon I think.
Unfortunatly I can't preorder due to a bug in the store page so I have to do it using mail. I hope I'll be able to be in the beta.
With the new ToA update today (1.95.023) Impulse detect the update correcty and so ToA. SDCentral still ask me to update DA and doesn't seem to recognize the ToA update (stated at 1.91.021).
Got my TA CD today (it took so long...) I posted in another thread that i'm at least a bit upset. As other customers I thought that I would receive a box and got a CD in a slipcase in an envelope and I'm really glad that the cd is intact because an envelope like that can't prevent any damage. I paid 20$ for this, but I knew that before. The price for shipping from Stardock is doubled in the last year if someone ask, i don't know why but for that package it's a bit too much. <br/
