Hi guys, This may seem like a rather stupid question but is it possible to only load to your Personal Gallery? The reason I ask is that I have created some Icons & PNGs (for OD) for a couple of Games and as an inexperienced artist I believe I know my own limitations and do not think that they would be good enough to pass through Moderation to the Site Galleries, but would like to display them in my Personal Gallery for anyon

Quentin, I just stumbled across this thread while meandering the forums (as you do, lol) and I'd like to add my prayers and thoughts for you Sir, it must be a tremendously trying time for you, both financially, emotionally and physically. I truly hope and pray that your situation is resolved positively and that your quality of life will be improved immeasurably. I would like to make a donation in the next few days in the hope that, along with the help this fantastic community of ours he
Been reading this thread with great interest and I'd just like to add my twopennies worth into the mix. Judging by IRB's Post (#92) I assume, (and if I'm wrong please accept my apologies), that the Masters are reluctant to a "MasterClass" Thread so I'd like to offer up a suggestion that would benefit anyone like myself (working on my 1st WB here), thinking of starting to skin and the less experienced skinners in the community.... How about an experienced/Master skinner creating a series
Looks like we all lose out on a valuable part of the community thanks to some Noob Hackers that haven't anything better to do with their time.... a lot of other sites are prolly too hard for them to attack. X-(
I believe that if you still have your registration email (or your registrations saved/written down somewhere) you just need to download Impulse and enter the registration details and it will download the versions of the programs that were current when your subscription ran out. If you don't have your registration details you should contact Stardock Support by email and ask them to help. Hope this helps you get sorted. Regards, Peter
I could be wrong, but from the sound of what you describe, you need the Windows Desktop Search. Try the link below and if it isn't suitable just Google "Windows Desktop Search". [link="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=738fc2de-49b9-4e69-9227-2206277ab7c9&displaylang=en"]WWW Link[/link] Hope this helps ;)
Working on my first project for the community.... Sidebar Clock Gadget (a proper one written for the sidebar and not using DesktopX, because I have issues with using Sidebar Gadgets made in DX with Vista x64) that will include (hopefully) Sirus, Harmony, Rapture and maybe half a dozen others to round it off. The Coding is already done and tested, just the graphics to do now, but I'm still "learning" CS3 so it could take a little while, hehe ;) I plan on having dual Digi/Analogue time
[quote]I am only too happy to share my positive story with you and am pleased it has helped in some small way. It may have been a difficult road to begin with, but for every difficulty we confronted together back then, we have shared many, many more great and wonderful moments. Despite their obvious frailties, babies are quite resilient and often much stronger than we can imagine, and I'm sure this is so for your Stormie, with lots of positive vibes from everyone here, and oodles of TLC
The prayers of my family go out to you and yours, you will become stronger because of what you are now enduring.... 13 years ago my youngest daughter gave birth to a baby boy and he was diagnosed as having Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and a Left Hemiplegia (a huge lump behind his left ear and a left arm that will never grow to fullsize)) shortly after his birth and to add to the little guys' misfortunes his mother rejected him because of his conditions. My darling wife and I immediate
The original Vienna was an fantastic skin, but..... the new version is absolutely stunning!!!! Many thanks John, waiting with baited breath, here in the UK. btw, the new name is pretty cool (and very apt too) imho :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT:
Interesting.... made me subscribe anyways :P
An excellent read and an insight into a true Master of DX that us Noobs aspire to be like. Especially liked the feature request for DX integration into SKS, that would be awesome. Many thanks to you both. :)
I'd like to echo those sentiments too, Messiah. Yet another tragedy, so soon after the disaster in Burma. I just hope that with the frequency of these events nowadays we don't become blase about them, as they mostly touch the people that need it the least. (:(
Glad you got it working leth, good work mate :D Regards, Peter
It sounds to me like it doesn't like where you've got IconPackager installed to there, leth, but I could be/probably am wrong, lol. Have you tried installing it to the default Directory (C:\Program Files (x86)/Stardock/etc) to check whether it works from there ? If it runs from the default location then it is a problem with the installation path, the other alternative from what you've posted is some issue with IconPacker's configuration with Windows (hence the sxs error).
leth, I'm using SP1 on all 3 of my boxes (2 x64 and 1 x32) and it updated fine for me. Did you use Impulse or SDC to install the update ? I always archive my current version (both SDC & Impulse) and then uninstall the application I'm updating. Reboot the PC and use Impulse (or SDC, though I tend to use Impulse exclusively nowadays) to install the application for me. Then, to be on the safe side, after installation is complete I do another reboot before running the appl
Daygo, this update and the 065 update that should be showing for you now both work GREAT on both my Vista64 boxes mate, so grab it
Ouch!! I feel for you Neophil, I wonder if it's anything to do with SP3, my 2 Vista x64 Boxes and a Vista x32 box had no problems with the 3.99g[b].065 update, though the earlier one refused to archive for me. Hope you can get some help soon :D Regards, Peter I'm on Vista SP1 on all my Boxes, btw.
This update was quickly followed by IP 3.99g[b].065 which did download and archive for me on Vista x64. I'd just like to thank Stardock for these updates.... there'll be a lot of happy x64 owners out in StarDockland tonight, an excellent surprise. Time to admire Cryo64 ExodoYQ 2.1 for Vista in all it's glory. ps Icons look stunning now.
Looks like Zubish??/Zubazish??? could be the 2nd most-used language worldwide,
Working great on Vista64, thanks :P
My two pennies worth.... I can understand why Bruce Edwards got annoyed guys, maybe a gaff was made by not categorizing the original Post as Humour (the correct spelling, not "humor" as our american cousins would have us all believe it should be), so a slap on the back of the hand for Zoomba for "cocking it up" in his haste to take his new car for a spin, lol. (Having said that, it doesn't take long to realise how satirical the Post is). ps Send the cars back to the Showroo
AN excellent article..... many thanks for taking the time away from your work to give us your thoughts. I for one, have never given thought to the cost of making skins, suites etc, and in light of what you and other people have posted here I now have a little understanding as to other factors that you have to take into account when creating software (which must be vastly more costly than the expenditure needed to create a theme). Thank you for enlightening me.
You're right about the IP updates Lantec, but they address x32 issues, Vx64 users are still using v3.00 (released in the IP v3.20 release). As of 30secs ago the last release of MyColors is still dated 8/4/2008 in Impulse, (which didn't work for me). And lastly, agreed also... I just wouldn't have phrased it the same way as UnhappyCamper. Regards
/quote Let me ask a stupid question " please tell me why you are using Vista 64bit?" /unquote I'll answer that one for you: a. I have a 64bit Processor b. I use 3DSMax 64bit, Maxwell Render, Vue Infinite & Maya 64bit (and if you don't know why I use the 64bit version of these programs you obviously haven't attempted any serious 3D Rendering or you have a whole heap of spare time on your hands to be using the 32bit equivalents). c. Lastly, because it's a damn sight bette
