I know some older people are mean and do try to start arguments or upset people, but I generally think it's better to let them have their way, LOL, rather than try to sort things out and upset them more. I really *was* picturing having this conversation with my Gran-Gran (she's not a Democrat, but she does get stuck on certain topics

Most corporations who own our politicians don't want people to make informed decisions, in fact the want americans to focus on things like britney spears. Most corporations don't want people to vote. America should have a system where every one is automatically registered at the age of eighteen like in other countries. Also, as Thomas Jefferson wanted there should be compulsory voting. Right now America has about 54% of the population voting, while places like Australia(95%), Malta(94%), and

The national debt of the UK is small, the recommendation in the EU is not to exceed 60%, the UK is well within that. The government webpage showed that the USA average wage was indeed $38,000 and the UK's $42,000, with the UK working less hours per week. The big mac non

to clarify the actual qoute is "We are no longer just a christian nation" which changes the meaning heavily. Other than the semantics, I agree. The fundamentlists in any religion have a tendency to represent every thing completely opposite of what their religion does represent.

I did a few searches and the only thing I could find was various reports about caucasus between Obama and Clinton. Both sides repeadtly claiming that supporters of both candidates were being "unruly". Nothing offensive though. McCain is one the political untouchables becasuse of the myth he built up around him self. I mean how many times has he reminded of his 2 years of torture and five years in captivity. At least enough to make almost forget the 600 who came home with him. And enough to fo

A closer look at the life and career of John McCain reveals a disturbing record of recklessness and dishonesty. At Fort McNair, an army base located along the Potomac River in the nation's capital, a chance reunion takes place one day between two former POWs. It's the spring of 1974, and Navy commander John Sidney McCain III has returned home from the experience in Hanoi that, according to legend, transformed him from a callow and reck

I do not think republicans chose McCain. Many Republicans were apprehensive this year, thanks to the Bush Adminstration, about running. I think the Republicans best shot all along, Romney, is a good example. He cut his losses early. With everyone dropping out, only McCain(the make-believe maverick), Huckabee(To the right of the Bush Adminstration socially), and Ron Paul(a libertarian in disguise) were left. McCain had an easy walk in to the convention.
