See, now thats just Bass Ackwards. There is no way you should get more points for a game that took 21 years than a game that took 7 years, all other things being equal. Every time you click end turn, it should depreciate your score, not increase it.

I use various sizes with abundant everything, scattered stars. As for micromanagement, I do almost everything from the governor screen and colony list. I make extensive use of rally points. There are many macro management tools in the game, it just takes a while to learn them all.
Thanks!!!
I have been logging into the metaverse, clicking play, and then letting it load up a new game so I can get to the "load game" screen. Obviously I am doing this the hard way... whats the easy way to load a metaverse game?
Ok thanks... Population is still fairly low there so that may be it.
You sir, are the coolest person I have met all day. Thanks !!!!!
So, after building a farm, an entertainment center, and 8 markets, a planet doesn't seem to make any more cash flow than if your replaced the markets with factories. I'm guessing the market is not cumulative?
It may seem petty, but I would like to be able to change the color each race uses on the mini map representing area of influence. Seems like you could do that fairly easy, but I havent seen anything that can do it. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks :!
Ok, found the pics and such, got my new logos working, great stuff.
Ok, thanks for the input. You both think pretty much the same as I do, I was just hoping I was doing something utterly stupid that I could change to make the problem go away, lol.
same here... annoying but nothing is perfect. great game that will only get better as they fix things like this mini map problem
agreed
I don't think you can submit on anything faster than normal... I read that somewhere but I could be mistaken. Your right about milking, but I was using the term specifically towards those who hit end turn 500 more times than necessary because it increases your score when it should in fact decrease your score.
I did find a rather lengthy discussion about this on the metaverse forums, so Ill shut up on this topic and go chat with the people who care about it
For example, apparently no one can see THIS topic
This really seems out of place Do you mean the topic itself being located in the wrong forum? If so I humbly apologize and ask for directions to the right forum...
Well so far I've been able to add as many new race logos and images as I've wanted. It only lets me choose different pics for leader and your empire's logo.. I guess it comes down to.. graphics modding is ok, but you mess with data modding you're going to end up with a cheat flagged game (ie 0 points ). </TAB
I have yet to see two ai races ally. Anyone else seen this in a metaverse game?
I make a topic, and it disap[ears to somewhere on page 3, every time. No one ever sees the topics I make. Ok so then I see topics are orgainzed by most recent reply. Yet, If I add a reply to my topic, it doesnt put it up top with the most recent topics. Anyone know how to get your topic somewhere that it will be seen? Thanks.
Whihle I am at it, are there any mods whatsoever you can do without messing up your chances of uploading to metaverse? I would like some new racial pics, and new logos/flags.... can you do that? If so, please point me to a folder thanks
Changes that need to be made in scoring system: 1) Reward people who finish early, not people who milk. 2) Reward people who play with harder AI, not people who play on easy. Until those are fixed, the system is broken, period. Also, forcing someone to play on larger maps to get better scores is not fair to those with low end machines, or, god forbid, real lives. Find some way to scale the score based on map size.
OK, I understand not having mods in the metaverse, but I would like to know if I can get away with cosmetic changes and still be OK in the metaverse. For example, I would like to change the primary colors of the various races. Since that does not effect the game play in any way shape or form, would i be able to do this and still submit to metaverse? Thanks
If you know from the start you want a tech victory, its not hard at all. I researched the last tech in 5 turns. You have to build up lots of discovery spheres, keep your research slider up, and this is the part many people miss... each planet must focus on research by clicking the little target button in the research production box.
Turn 1, set colony ship to move 3 spaces. Hit end turn. ship moves 2 spaces, date advances. Hit end turn again. Ship moves 1 space, date advances. Go to options, change "skip moves" toggle, repeat experiment, get same results. Can I at least get a developer to jump in and say, "No Zor, you are wrong because......" or maybe "Yes Zor, we will look into this...." I am not oneof those kids who doesnt know
I noticed that any post where the poster is acting like a child whos mommy took his candy away, screaming and throwing a tantrum, those posts get answers. Oh sure, they reply with insults, BUT they answer the darned question. Perhaps I should change my tactics if I want to actualy get answers... I can put up with a few insults to get a good answer here and there.
