Some metaverse worthy mods

OK, I understand not having mods in the metaverse, but I would like to know if I can get away with cosmetic changes and still be OK in the metaverse.

For example, I would like to change the primary colors of the various races.

Since that does not effect the game play in any way shape or form, would i be able to do this and still submit to metaverse?

Whihle I am at it, are there any mods whatsoever you can do without messing up your chances of uploading to metaverse? I would like some new racial pics, and new logos/flags.... can you do that?
If so, please point me to a folder

I would add small, cosmetic or interface changes to the game to that list. I haven't seen any yet, but I know that they'll come.

Particularly I hope to play a "modded" version of the game that just calls "weeks" by the name of "months" and then still submit my fnished games to the Metaverse.

Well so far I've been able to add as many new race logos and images as I've wanted. It only lets me choose different pics for leader and your empire's logo..

I guess it comes down to.. graphics modding is ok, but you mess with data modding you're going to end up with a cheat flagged game (ie 0 points ).

the metaverse is set up in a way so that all metaverse data is in GalCiv2/MetaverseData/ So as long as you keep out of there you will be ok. Which leaves a lot of other stuff that can be edited.

Of course changing the equivelant file in GalCiv2/Data/ (for example, MetaverseData/English/PoliticalParties.xml and Data/English/PoliticalParties.xml) means that it will change your main game, but not your metaverse game. And thus leaving you safe from cheatiing.

Ok, found the pics and such, got my new logos working, great stuff.
