Having a lil problem. Trying to install Impulse, but I get this error; "This product requires at least Windows XP. Setup cannot continue." I tried both the web and full install. Same thing. Obviously, I have XP. I have my Windows services cut down to a bare minimum, I'm thinking that may be the reason... Anyone able to assist on this?

=D I posted the [link="http://mindlesspuppet.deviantart.com/art/TWIS-Winky-124122622"]full version[/link] on DA... not really sure why. Figured I should do something with it, as I (stupidly) made the background and whatnot without realizing it wouldn't translate well into an icon with it... so yeah if anyone's interested.
If I had more time, I’d like to learn how to make Demigods and Demigod maps. While the game’s launch was a total disaster, I feel pretty confident that its sheer excellence (Dota zealots not withstanding) will ensure it has a long-term audience that will only grow as long as we keep supporting it.
Those DOTA zealots, dispite being rude, angst filled, and stubborn tend to have a good idea what they are talking about when it comes to MOBAs. I d

Wow... I thought I tried to do a lot (though, I tend to fail to finish anything =/)... but jeez, bee-keeping? I don't think anyone has gotten anything on that. Doesn't help that I tend to get distracted easily by the likes of Team Fortress 2, Battlefield Heroes, etc... I can completely relate with the power tools thing. While, I'm fairly decent with the tactile trades, I never really got into it as I would have liked to (money ><). But none-the-less, every so often I get

Most noticably in the transparent areas of the shadows. Fixed now.

That does sound kinda strange opera would do that especially with the emphasis they've been putting on "dragonfly". Enough people seem to be concerned over this "feature" though so I'm sure they'll do something about it. I'm not sure if you keep up with the development builds ( http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/ ). Amazing they'd drop the ball like this the same time FF3 was released, but Opera has always been that really smart kid that goes around tripping on his own feet... so kinda expecte

Opera is my main browser, as a secondary I use Sleipnir (which recently had an english release). It allows you to switch between the IE engine and gecko on the fly, which is nice. And yes, I know firefox can do that too with IE tab, but Sleipnir isn't bloated and gross with a bad skin engine >_> edit: link to sleipnir for anyone interested http://www.fenrir.co.jp/en/sleipnir/

I for one have always loved your involvement at wincustomize and such, and while I'm not active in the community anymore I still lurk around now and then. And I think it's great that a CEO kind of puts himself on ground level, so to speak. You always just seemed like another person to me, and not an a developer/employee/ceo/or whatever trying to mingle. Hell, I didn't even know your position for the longest time back in the day, thought you were just a moderator. And well, it was a really cool t

uh any flash with layer masks should do, I still use Macromedia Flash MX. Adobe Flash can do it too, I just don't care for the interface. I believe flash is capable of making a sort of like widget with now border and has transparency as an executable, but I'm not sure how to do this.

Adobe Flash seems to be the only thing even capable of what you want as far as I know. Name all your files you want animated sequentially, import one of them and it will ask if you want to import the others, it should automatically place one per frame. Then create a new layer and designate it as the mask for you main layer, paint your mask in, extend the frame of the mask layer to the end of the animation. And export as GIF. Should do the the trick.
