Already their prebuttal shows how they plan to simply OBSTRUCT anything Mr. Bush does, without offering any solutions of their own. That mantra was used by the Bush and Rove throughout the campaign against Kerry when he did in fact propose alternatives. They only don't have a plan if you ask the Republ

If women are not in the math and sciences field, I would have to guess that its due in part to lack of interest. We certainly know there are brilliant women scientists and mathemeticians out there. Kevlar and whiteout were invented by women, amongst other things. For the president of Harvard and George Will to state there is some chromasomal reason for women to have a lack of aptitude in those fields is ludicrous.

Even Soros wouldn't have near enough money to back a 3rd party candidate. For one thing, he could not directly give him the money per campaign finance laws. 2nd, a 3rd party candidate is nowhere near being close to even getting 7% of the vote, let alone winning. I don't think Soros really even had much of a difference in the election. If he did, it was probably a negative. Kerry simply lacked any charisma or focus of the issues to win the

level 1 and level 2 Hqs both give the same bang for the buck, while level 3s though much more expensive have more return. Level 3s also give a political operative, which can be used to increase awareness in another state if moved. The key to winning is money.

The chairman of the DNC sets national policy as to where to invest the party funds set for election of officials. They also set a strategy for political campaigns and decide what will be put forth on the official website. They also have some voice in the platform, though that mostly falls to the presidential candidate, but as we saw with the war issue, not entirely so. Its a very important position.

You talk of Democrats reaching out but then just call every one of them names. Who is not reaching out? Why that would be you, as you cannot accept anything said by Democrats could be truthful or on the mark. You state no Democrats are reaching out, point to an example where they are, and dismiss that with more name calling. Who is really being dismissive?

He did not leave early, just that his replacement was chosen early in order for him to prepare for the difficult events to follow. Nothing strange there. The Media and politicians has tried to hype this up as something strange, it was not. Nothing strange there except that its unprecedented in history a

Idiocy does not need debate, just the statement of fact. You have plenty of idiocy, little fact. So does that make you good to go?

Lies are cheap, allegations cheaper. The truth costs a lot and you have none. How about providing your backup for your OPinion? if not, that is all it is, and I am glad he is Sec Def, and you are not! You need to pay more attention to the news. "In a contentious exchange over the costs of war

The origional post is also full of facts, except perhaps the WMD one, ( no we havent found WMDs on a massive scale but we HAVE found them and we KNOW Saddam had them- he used them on his own people!) Kingbee: Which party controlled the senate in 1964? Which party controlled the house in 1964? Which party controlled the judiciary in 1964? The answer to the first two would be the Democrats. I would also have to say the Democrats controlled the judiciary since before Eisenhower, the Democrats controll

The difference between the Republican kooks and Democratic kooks is following. As kooky as Pat Robertson is, he brings a following. To say the right placated their kooks by giving their voice to the highest levels is just another way to say they have made them their mainstream. After all, if they have a voice with the President, they have a voice in the highest levels of our government. The Republicans have done a good job a showing the kooks on th

Since I can't seem to respond there even though the thread is not locked, I will respond here. This is another example of conservatives trying to pin all liberals in a little group. This guy wasn't even a liberal, he is a freaking communist. Its also the opinion of one whacked out individual. Let's not forget the first American to place blame back at America for the attacks was Pat Robertson, former Republican candidate for President. He s

Any system of law is going to be flawed because no one response is correct under every situation. The plan is to have the rule of law right in the most situations. Our idea is better to err on the side of caution than to make mistakes. There are so many appeals built into the system that it is becoming increasingly rare that mistakes will be made in the future. I think the death penalty should only be used in special cases, either a terri

I will believe the hype about 3rd parties coming on if they win any election. You are talking about them being a force when right now they have no strength in congress or any statehouse offices. The only major candidate from a 3rd party to win an election was Jesse Ventura. That's one and he's not there anymore.

Of course the court turned it down. Its a no-brainer that if only one side of an issue can be presented, there is unfairness involved. This court is in no way going to rule for anything that even resembles pro-abortion. To have ruled against it would have shown they were in the back pockets of the anti abortion constituency. They were stuck. They could either make the right decision and give a victory to their enemies, or they could show themselve
