We are Americans who don't stick our head in the sands and believe we are the only country in the world and have to have good relations with at least some countries. Was this meant to be a loaded question? Let's ask the right if they believe the US can get along if the rest of the world can't stand us?

Rhetoric is funny in its irony. Bush, the boogey man conservative, does not want to conserve the envoirment in its pristine state in order to make room for progress- to use the resources of the land to stimulate economic growth, creating jobs, among other things. Progressives, on the other hand, seek to conserve the land. They do

Good suggestions, Citizen old geek. I would still have a board of each state showing it votes for each candidate and a projected winner. Leaving the closest states for last, or behind other states in the same area would make the game much different from the current format of simply east to west. Hey, by the way, what happen

There are a small minority of Muslims who may be in very important positions and are able to impression the less educated to follow them. They feed upon religious hatred. Now in this country we are trying to feed our own religious hatred. All Muslims are not evil. By stating that these evil people are in a majority and represent the Muslim faith, we empower them by giving them reasons why the people shoul

The Democrats, right? After all, they aren't demanding recounts because they lost. They're doing it so that the election is fair, right? Or was that simply propaganda by liberals? You show me someone who demands a fair recount after they won an election and I say they should have a new election so every

It is the radical right who seem to be buying into the Robertson/Hannity hyperbole by saying that the separation of C&S are tantamount to trying to eradicate and descriminate against Christians. That's the whole crux of why they are doing it. They find an i

That's a good point. Would the Democrats have demanded multiple recounts if they had originally won the election? WhoTF is going to demand a recount when they won?

We didn't want to take away the issue editor, Ubi Soft forced us to. Tell them to give it back. This would certainly bring a renewed interest in the game by making each game different.

Frankly I don't put it past Robertson to have lied about the whole thing. Does he have it on tape this unnamed person making these statements? I would agree with Dabe that an atheist has to have a set of moral values. Anyone without moral values ends up in jail.

Seems crazy that Republicans are crying about things that they argued 180 degrees against in Florida in 2000 and laugh about in Ohio this year. If they're having trouble with the machines counting votes, then a hand recount would become logically the next step. Those who are arguing for interpretation of how the votes are counted, do you even know what type voting system they use in that state?

The only way to mod the issues is the no longer used issues mod. I think it was a mistake for stardock to take that away. My feeling is they thought only political nerds would want to play historical issues. This comes from a response from frogboy to a thread when it was suggested they change the map to historical EC counts. He stated in essense that historical characters would need to prove themselves in the modern political arena. IMO its a mist

2) Awareness Issues and the 0% Vote. It really irritates me when I see a candidate getting 0% in a state. That's just impossible. John Kerry is not going to visit Wyoming this year. He's still going to get around 40% of the vote there. There should be a natural awareness that accrues over time in all states, even when we're not v

and if france was to deploy troops..I'd hope they'd align themselves with the insurgents.....which would mean a unilateral surrender of all terrorists, former baath party members, etc. by umm say 30 days...and thats being generous I think they already have, unfortunately not with military leadership, on

So your view from this article is that France and Germany are all of Europe and Europe is the only place to get troops. Troops need not come from just Europe, as I would prefer they actually come from other Muslim nations that took part in the first gulf war, but took a pass this time around. With Bush still in power, the possibility of other nations joining the pathetic "coalition" now formed are zero. He offered them no reason nor incentive to

You seem to forget this is *draginols* site, not yours. He can pretty much say anything however and whenever he wants. If you don't like that then don't read his posts. Simple as that. That's a load of crap. So the moderators don't have to follow their own terms of use? Sounds very Republican to me.

We've been through this before and proof was offered on this very subject. Kerry was told *no way* was he getting any more help from Europe. You offer no proof, you simply toe the Republican line. I will not accept such a diplomatically challenged individual such as George W. Bush and those in the admi

So your telling us that the EU newspapers that say Poland did help are full of ca-ca? That help came in the form of sending troops after the the combat phase was over. Nowhere in your article does it say they did, so no I do not say they are full of ca-ca.

Pat Robertson has been known to distort issues in the past and will continue to do so. He points to a very extreme person that noone could agree with and tries to paint that person as being in the mainstream of the left. The Christian Broadcasting network announced on the radio that during a Kerry event that he sat on a throne with his assistant fanning him with palm leaves while the audience chanted his name. This in order to promote their view tha

Have uncovering the alien conspiracy as one of the issues they care about? I remember reading a post about making this issue important to the electorate, but that would be impossible to do unless some state has it as an issue. I can't seem to find that thread anymore either.

If Kerry won the election, would these so sorry kooks have opened a website congratulating the foreign countries that have opposed Bush; causing a greater loss of American lives in the world by refusing to help. That is such a load of huey. The views of other countries towards the war in Iraq does not
