Its clear even from this message board that Republicans and Democrats are miles apart. Where do we come together, where is the common ground, where can we start the cooperation that we need to go forward. If anything the gap is larger now than it was even in 2000 or 1992.

To whom was he referring if not the US? France? Perhaps, the fact of the matter is he never said the the United States was stingy. Let's say for example you are rich. If there is a local charity drive and the chairman of that drive says some of the rich people were not giving enough, would tha

Excuse me, I recall *you* specifically talking about 7 *trillion* dollars not 545 million deficit. And unless he's god (not happening) or finds a ton of gold that no one knew about (also not happening) then the junk your talking ain't happening either. In that case cuttting it in half would be considered in most books to be a goo

Wrong side of Vietnam? You're kidding right? It was Democrats that got us in there and escalated it and a Republican who got us out. Talk about reversing roles. You're kidding right? You don't know that Eisenhower got us into Vietnam? And Nixon caved into pressure to get out of Vietnam.<TABLE cellpadd

And a final note. Since you cannot prove a negative, why dont you prove that Reagan or Bush used lliberals in a derogatory, intead of a descriptive sense. Try to stay on topic and done use policy disagreements as your proof. As you know, that is just a disagreement, but it is not being disagreeable. Cir

Drop it if you cant prove it. I don't even know what IT is that you want me to prove. You called me a liar when I stated that the south had almost no Republicans and I proved it. WTF? <TD clas

Can you show me one time where George Bush or Ronald Reagan used the word liberal and meant it to be a positive. You call liberals distasteful on this board every day. The whole idea behind this thread is that you find liberals distasteful.

My My My! How we tend to get profane when we lose an arguement! I read the link, and it proves nothing. Now if you really want to be smart, you would quit personally attacking me and POST THE EFFING VOTES. I did post the effing votes. You called me a liar because I said there were almost no Republic

You know, this was a humor piece. But you just proved half the stereotypes. Congratulations! You just made Liberal of the year 2005! And you just proved my point. You just want to label me with something you find distasteful. When President Bush called John Kerry the most liberal member of Congress, d

Uh, excuse me your excellancy, but Congress is House and Senate. You have not proven your point and not provided proof. But then we know why. Cause you are wrong! Let me give you a helpful hint, which I know you will take as condescending. Congress is Senators and Represenatives.<

Another lie! Poor liberal. just call it a lie without checking the facts, typical rightie tactic. check the link. There were 10 Republicans from the south in the House, all of whom voted against. 24 northern Republicans voted against while only 9 northern Democrats did. In the Senate, the lone Repu

BTW, if you want to comment on my articles, please don't misrepresent what I wrote. I specifically said that Saddam had NO TIES to 9/11 but had plenty of ties to Al Qaeda. That again is a matter of historical fact (and contemporary). But don't take my word for it, take Al Qaeda's word for it. When Al Qaeda bombed Spain in 200

Sure, whoman, Grand Kleagle Byrd went to the Republicans? Nice revisionist history Whoman. Byrd was an independent until the 80s when he became majority leader. Byrd has put his history of hatred behind, while Thurmon and Helms held their views to the end of their days. <TABLE cellpadding=8 wi

American liberals, in my opinion, are far more guilty of confusing intelligence for knowledge than American conservatives. I don't think this is necessarily some sort of cultural thing but rather that the primary sources of contemporary information is generated by people who are ideologically liberal and therefore American libera

Thank you for the voice of micromanagement. The office of President is that of an administrator, a delagator.. not a micromanager. If you really want the president to have that much authority over ever part of government, then just cut to the chase and admit that you'd rather have a dictator. That would be the only type of leader

Different perspectives, different results! No one can make you ashamed of who you are except yourself. No one in the Democratic party is ashamed. However if you get called something enough, people tend to believe it. Its not how we perceive ourselves, its how we've been perceived that is damaging. Th

No, Reagan made it ok for conservatives to say they were so. Liberals have to find their own mantra. It is never good to find a scapegoat as that only allows denial of ones own shortcomings, with no way to then fix the problem. Happy New year to you as well! Whenever Reagan said the word liberal,

I think the point here is that Bush got his panties in a bunch about a so called slap in the face that wasn't even directed at US or us. He now goes to discredit the UN by creating a rival helping organization that will half the effectiveness of both sides and make sure the job gets caught up in unending bureaucratic nonsense so that it never gets done. The point is we're supposed to help these people, and now we make it a political hand grenade. I'

Ronald Reagan made liberal a swear word, a label to attack his enemies as weak and out of the mainstream. Its political profiling. Oh, and Happy New Year. I would have done it in Spanish, but with out the Spanish keyboard it takes on a whole different meaning.

It's kind of interesting how so many people want Prs. Bush to take on enough authority to control military unit supply, job creation, the stock market, oil production, oil prices, K-12 education; radio and television programming, standards, and transmission requirements; terrorist actio
