*nods* And that we don't demand better from our politicians is a symptom of the larger problem. Oh, Bush is no better than Kerry, so I'll vote for Bush or vice versa or vers vica or whatever. Americans don't have an attention span long enough for this article, eh? You said more about the problems with the American electorate than I ever could. I notice the usual conservative commentators haven't said anything on this articl

*laugh* Wingman and his conservative ilk were screaming about this website the other week when bush was ahead by 88 or more votes. Even Charles Krauthammer was talking about it. Now, it's a marginal website because their guy is losing. The web master of the site gives quite a bit of info on how he selects his data, but I know you bushies have trouble reading words more than 2 syllables or sentences longer than "See Bush bomb." <img

“trickle down” economics. I agree. The problem with the trickle down theory is that it takes for granted the kindness of the "corporate overlords." The theory is that if we give the rich more money, they will pass that money along to those who work for them. The reality is, the rich just reap greater

As much as I want this to be accurate, being a Kerry supporter, I'm having trouble believing any of these polls. Gallup, Pew, and Zogby have all widely disagreed recently.

I'm from Arkansas, and growing up, Clinton was King. He was a rather moderate governor here, not liberal at all. I'm not sure what you were expecting, because in general, Southern Democrats are more conservative than Democrats elsewhere. Clinton is pro-death penalty, pro-war on drugs, and his education plan for Arkansas has some similiarities to W's "No Child Left Behind." I think Bill gets pushed to the left in people's minds because of Hillary --

Did you know Mike Savage used to run around with the San Francisco, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, beatnik-hippie liberal crowd? Then somebody told him he could make a lot of money spewing right wing hate on the radio. Oh yah, and his real name is Mike WEINER.

Yeah, I read Maureen Dowd speculating on this one. And it, like much that she writes, was annoying. Hey guess, what? The Bush Administration is weakening safety standards on nuclear reactors. And people are still dying in Darfur. And Iraq. And Afghanistand, Tajikistan, hmm let's see, China's still a human rights nightmare and we're still sucking on the oil tit of a country that provided 79% of the 9/11 hijackers. Belief in global warming

Of course, we all know how Republicans like to treat veterens. Max Cleland is "unpatriotic," John McCain is "crazy," and John Kerry is a liar. I pity the current soldier in Iraq who runs for office against future generations of the Bush family -- imagine how the rhetoric on this war will change then.

I'm not sure which is the more asinine post, this one or the one about "kerry encouraging death of americans." it's garbage when it's about kerry, it's garbage when it's about bush, i've said that from the beginning. Kerry said Bush is living in a "fantasy world of spin." And you righties are the in the Junior Spinner's Club. I don't think anything Bush did 30 years ago is vital to national whatever. Especially si

what it has to do with the current conversation -- do we have to keep rehashing this same history. Everyone say it with me THIRTY FIVE YEARS AGO. Republicans get pissed that democrats are saying that Bush was AWOL in 1972. But then the Republicans are saying that Kerry doesn't deserve his *insert medal here* in 1971-72. Shut the fuck up. It's annyoing, it's boring, it's old news. Fallujah and Darfur sho

The Democrats need us non-Democrat liberals. They're so wishy washy namby-pamby politically correct they've forgotten how to actually stand up for something and fight. I'd like to kick John Kerry's ass so far up between his shoulders that he can hear his buttcheeks clapping.
