PsuedoSoldier Any Plans on getting a Four year degree? If you write and research that well you should consider pursing a Political Science degree if you like doing that sort of thing. That's what I have myself and I don't see why you couldn't either. Pretty savy writing there and I usually have a harsh eye proofreading too. It's well researched, planned..proper sentence formats, stays on topic. I can definately see a Political Science degree

Kelly There is no State Media interview. They took that out of the finished version of the game without updating the manual before they shipped it out. Hope you still have fun with the game regardless. /Reagans Clone/

Well, I suppose Cats have just as much a right to have a gun as Bears do..I don't know why we would just arm Bears under the 2nd amendment and not any other animal? It's just not fair, and Who knows the whole story here? How do we know it wasn't a act of self defense by the cat? We haven't heard the cat's side of it yet. Just the big bad humans there I also think the cat

Okay A correction, (Apparently this is what I get for not having coffee first and then writing.) My previous post I mentioned a question I posed about the QA and money, I was wrong, That posted question still exists in Daniel Ruosses ,"Feb 1, where is version 1.1?" just two down from this posting. I just rembered wrong where I put the post I wrote, but the announcement of Galactic Civ update is gone. However, aside from a brie

WhoMan I'm beginning to think this company is about out of money and the latest bake sale on the corner didn't fetch as much money. A couple of weeks ago Stardock posted that Galactic Civ is being updated and would be released as soon as the QA was done. This is odd I thought. Because I had seen a previous post from Froggyboy explaining they didn't have any money for QA right now. So I posed the question as to how if they don't have a

Okay, Maybe I've missed something... Here's my thing, if Stardock has to go through Ubisoft for QA and it doesn't have any more money in their budget to do Quality assurance, how are they going to be able to do QA for anything else? Is the QA dept out of money totally for just Political Machine or out of money to do QA on any game? Sorry, I don't have a understanding of how this works up there in Corporate so this is why I

Trcanberra Wow, all this time and no one even responded to such a simple request for you?! That's just bad. Anyways, I apologize if you've already tried this but have you looked at the readme file? Usually little tidbits of useful info that the average consumer ignores is in there and it might contain how to uninstall the thing. I hope that helps. That's all the tricks this rabbit has in the hat. /Rea

I'm not sure if anyone else has come across this, but last night I was playing a game and after I finished I went to look at the assets that the other side had used and how many and what kind of ads and operatives and HQs used. As I was scrolling down, I noticed a newspaper ad that had no text identifying it. It was just a graphic of a newspaper and when I clicked upon it, the game crashed instantly. Fortunately, my score was still t

I had this converstaion today with a couple of friends of mine with exactly those concerns that Wayne has mentioned. I do think highly of Arnold, but not without some reservations. I'm all for his being Governor, he seems to be doing a really good job. I'd even back him up for a Executive Cabinet position at some point in a future Presidential administration, but not for President. I don't care who it is or how long they've been in this country, or h

Whoman69 Excellent. You sound like you've got your strategy padded down now. But my question is how much are you winning your issues by now on the exit polls since you're starting to win by giving more speeches as far as you can tell? Or have you really noticed any changes? I've noticed myself that the more I give a speech and put out ads simutaneously, I have more chances at the National Talk shows which also enhances my issues to l

Whoman69 See, That's what I am talking about. Enough people I imagine had seen and heard you speak that when you ran your ads and people began noticing; "Hey, I heard that guy the other day talk and now I see his ads running. I know him, like him from what I have seen on TV, he looks like he bathes and looks good on tv and sounds good on radio and agree with his point of view because he has personally made his case. I am completely brainwashe

Whoman Not sure how or what else to tell you on that I usually have to plan when to do my speeches, like you say, to save up for it and yes, they are quite expensive but it's well worth it in the end. If nothing else all I can do is tell you that I plan my speeches to go about once every 5 weeks(turns) or so along with as many TV ads as I can reasonably afford. By reas

Use Speeches. It will make the difference. They won't believe an ad on it's own as hearing it from you personally to back it up. If your Charisma is high the more they believe you. You could put an ad out saying how much (for example) you hate Spinach, but there's nothing so powerful as the population hearing how much you loathe and hate it. So, use a speech as often as you can afford it whereever you go. I'd suggest going to High population

Katie You mentioned using anti Nixon ads earlier? Whenever I put an anti Nixon ad in a state, I made sure to place a positive one about myself along with it. I also made a habit of doing a fund raiser everytime I stepped foot in a state to have a little extra cash on me before I left. Take a moment and look at the map too of where Nixon (or any computer candidate for that matter) places a operative. I used fixers relentlessly to take out an

John Kerry has Officially conceded the race. There will be an announcement at 1pm Est. President Bush is expected to speak after.

Well, No matter what happens at the moment, Bush will likely win, He's Taken Ohio and Florida. So, even if it is a tie. Still doesn't matter. Republicans still hold Majority in Both Houses and Bush will be reelected. As I write this, I am waiting on results from 6-7 other states. I got to hand it to Brad though, that takes some big shiny brass ones to try and call an election off of a game simulation. I wouldn't have tried that on th

Mat I have to agree with Ashkihyena, I'm afraid I'm not smart enough myself as far as the game goes to match the computer for money except to use the money cheat code. But, by doing this, the computer at the end of it all will not give you a score. Tv ads are aired nationally. Everyone in all the states sees them. Cost is a big factor in placing ads of any sort. If you use political capital you can use webmasters to bring down the c

Cappy I've not tied a game myself yet, came close a couple of times. I remember reading one post on here some time ago that someone did tie and it gave the game to him. I think it gives the game in that case to whoever gets the most popular votes.

One trick I have learned is to tweak your Character again. If you are using a original Character creation of your own, Check out their stats and then click onto your Character, go into the edit and revamp him/her a little bit. It'll ask you if you want to overwrite your character, say yes and you'll be able to use your new tweaked stats in the campaign. I always make sure my stats of Charisma, Stamina, Credibility, Fundraising and money are around 6-8

In case any are not aware of the latest on the Draft Bill HR 163,(even if you are, this is for the people who aren't), It was killed, shot on sight, DOA, in the House of Representives yesterday by a vote of 402 against to 2 for it. Charles Rangel D-NY, the author of the Draft Bill , would not even vote for what he put on the floor last year. Those of you old enough to remember Saturday morning Schoolhouse Rock's "Bill", imagi
