Since the 2000 campaign, I have never trusted the polls ever again. I remember the polls saying Gore was behind a few points and he won the popular vote. I remember a few experts saying Bush would win the popular vote, but lose the electoral college. Look how that turned out.

Very well done man. I think this is a good blog now... but I might change my mind...

Great piece. Many arabs view the United States as an imperial power, as Pat Buchanon has pointed out many times. I don't think there is any way the fighting in that nation will stop as long as there is an occupying force. There are also the sanctions and bombings which cause Iraqis to view the USA unfavorably. This is probably going to be a mirror image of the West Bank.

Che Guevara was an inappropriate icon Cuba's government after Bautista was kicked out was a hell of a lot better than what they had back then and I've given you examples of that. People around the world admire him for those he fought for in America and Africa. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" a

RATM....gotcha....so if you educate the kids whose parents you killed for political dissent, it makes you a humanitarian? Okay, I haven't been to Cuba, but I have taken the time to hear from those who live there and have been there. The people there are well

"Very few" and "none" are not the same thing. My point is that they are not afraid of going on O'Reilly's show. O'Reilly hasn't given them the chance to go on his show. S

Che was pretty damned oppressive as Castro's right hand man. Have you been to Cuba? Most of the people there love him, contrary to what right wing pundits tell you. They have one of the highest literacy rates and one of the best health care systems in the world. His leading dissident is allowed to roam

I thought RATM was more on resisting all forms of government, did that change, and a question about their breakup was it a difference in political views and clashes. What was the case on Mumia, link on the info, what was he charged of, etc. Rage was not anarchist. Their main message was resisting oppres

Pre 9/11 statements are easy targets. Good point, but hasn't his reason for the war changed? The primary reason being because he was a threat and now it was because the administration wanted to liberate Iraq. Isn't the rhetoric that Iraq is now free insignificant because that was not the reason for goin

Didn't Bush say in the debates of 2000 that we should never participate in "nation building", which is what is being done in Iraq right now. This was his reasoning for not agreeing to send troops into Rhowanda. He also said the only reason we would ever go into Iraq is if they were building nuclear bombs, which wasn't happening. Isn't he... "flip flopping"?

Dang, I've been busy a while but I have to repsond. Case in point: Rosie O'Donnell had to defy her "handlers" in going on O'Reilly, as they all instructed her not to. I don't know if this is the case with Mumia's defenders, but frankly, neither do you. Actually Tom Morrello from the band former

The evidence against Mumia is pretty compelling, and, frankly, I haven't seen a credible portrayal of the evidence for his innocence. If O'Reilly is so sure of his quilt why doesn't he have one of the activists fighting for Mumia come on the show to defend him? There are many heads of state that have ca

I was watching Ebert and Roeper talking about the Passion of the Christ and Ebert said it would not win any awards "politically". I don't understand what was so controversial about the movie. Malcom X and American History X were tense movies and I could see why people would be offended by them (Both of which were awesome). I just don't see what is so bad about the Passion. It was a great movie and it deserve its due. What is it about the movie that was

We decided to do it Kerry's way and let the French and UN take care of it. Look what happened, people beheaded infront of the UN compound and the French UN peace keepers didn't do a thing. But Bush has said that he would never have gone into Rhowonda because it is not in our interests. What interests do

So, are you feeling the child molestor was unfairly attacked by O'Reilly and that the 60-Day sentence was fair? I relly don't see why you're presenting this as a "conservative" topic. I don't know the specifics of what the trial is about, but that man should get what he deserves. My point is that when t

The benefits to the Iraqis What is hypocritical of this war, is that the Iraqi people have no say in what is going on. The USA is dictating to them what is happening. This is contradictory to the supposed democracy and freedom they are now supposed to have. What brings this to light the best is the Iraq

I watch the O'Reily Factor at least once a week and I read his first book. From my experience watching it, it is a very conservative show. Here are the topics he's gone through... •Koch: I'm Voting for Bush -A former Democrat blasts Kerry and the Dems. •Att. Ginsberg on Swift Resignation -Former SBV Lawyer comes out and says he told the White House nothing about the ads ahead of time. Neutral for most part, but looks good for Bush

I disagree with you that there is a lot of hate against American athletes. When the USA entered the opening ceremony, they were given a standing ovation. Other countries love our athletes, some even love our atheltes more than we do, like in Track. Michael Johnson was a lot more popular in Europe than the USA. If Paul Ha
