Would it be acceptable if a President put his hand on the Koran? If you think it is ok for the President to put his hand on the bible....you better make it ok for him to put it on any other religious document. Perhaps people who understand the importance of a seperation between church and state shouldn't be classified as "nutjobs"

I would argue that terrorism is more serious that you beleive it to be champas socialist. Throughout human history, a single person acting alone could only do a minimum amount of damage to humanity. Only a king with an army using vast resources could hope to cause destruction. That, unfortunatley, changed during the 20th century with the invention of nuclear weapons. A single thermonuclear weapon

Blogic is full of crap Here are the facts to Bush's response to that question: 1. Bush admitted to making mistakes. (He admitted making mistakes in appointing people to positions) 2. Bush admitted that he may have made mistakes on the war but its too early to tell.

The very fact that George Washington Carver (the man who invented peanutbutter?!?) is the best you can do...is testament to the fact that whites have dominated human accomplishments throughout human history.

Blacks are obviously more athletic than whites. 32 out of 32 NFL runningbacks are black. The chances of that happening by chance is over 4 trillion to 1 (4294967296 to 1 to be precise)...and that is assuming that 50% of the population is black. The average SAT score of blacks is far behind the average SAT score of whites. If it

If it was up to Kerry, Saddam would be planning an attack against Kuwait right now and possibly selling nuclear and biological weapon technology....why in the heck doesn't the American public wake up and understand that Kerry is a man that admits to burning down villages and has no place as president?

26 Replies 12,186 Views

There is one thing that Kerry said that should worry Americans: He said that he would only take pre-emptive action if the global community supported the decision. That is in the realm of crazy talk in my opinion.

CNN has 2 of its reporters on the Kerry payroll. Foxnews has 0 on the Bush payroll. I was watching CNN after the republican convention and they had Larry King (don't get me started on him) and 3 guests. guest 1: Advisor to President Clinton guest 2: Anchor on the Black Entertainment Channel guest 3: MTV reporter If thats n

The seperation of church and state is a serious issue. Here are some examples: The ancient Egyptians believed that their pharaoh was a god (the ultimate combination of church and state) and the citizens worked their arses off to build great temples (the pyramids) to worship them. Divine Right is a term used to describe kings of medieveal Europe. It means that it was gods rule that the ki

When you make the point that atheist children don't have to say "under god".....you are essentially telling them to sit down and shut up.

If a poll is scientific, the actual data should be within the margin of error. I have noticed that many news organizations don't understand the margin of error. When a new poll shows a change of 1% but the margin of error is 3%....you cannot make a conclusion of an actual change. The two polls agree with each other.

The native American race has been mostly wiped out and nearly all of their land stolen. If they want to set up a few casinos, I really don't think anyone should complain.

I am very conservative. However, this is one of the few issues in which I actually agree with liberals. Aren't atheist children less American than religious children if we are "one nation under god"? Why should atheist children have to sit down and shut up every school day? It seems to me that the religious children are the ones who need to be tolerant. This is not just a PC issue. It go

Reply to A living Wage? in Politics

I don't like the term "living wage". If you make minimum wage, you make enough to provide yourself with shelter, food, and water. If people who complain that they aren't making a "living wage" want enough money to buy a nice house, car, and a widescreen tv....then they should have spent more time in school or spent more time building specialized job skills.

Zobelisk: Do you know the defintion of the word average? Of course their are some garbagemen that have a higher IQ than some doctors. That is why I used the word "average" instead of "all".

The problem with socialists is that they think that all people are equal. The socialists I've talked to honestly believe that the average garbage man has the same IQ as a doctor. Smart, hardworking people should be rewarded....which is why many dumb, lazy people support socialism.

That is a valid argument landen81. Certainly drug tests for the president would be a good idea. But, I don't think any clear thinking person believes Bush is presently taking drugs. He took drugs in the past and made mistakes but I don't hold that against him just like I don't hold it against Clinton for inhaling.

This is my take on the U.S. Presidential race: Argument for Kerry: 1. Kerry will protect the environment and take global warming seriously 2. Kerry will protect the separation of church and state. 3. Kerry will be a better communicator 4. Kerry will possibly be a more intelligent President<br

George Bush leads a nation that gives more money in foreign aid than any other nation. I think that qualifies as considering the other 5.7 billion just a little bit.
