I'm not trying to browbeat anyone at all. I usually support third parties, but I'm just asking Green voting in this election to consider their choice. They can vote for Nader, knowing he will not win or they can vote for Kerry and help him win. I would ask all Greens to consider if they think that John Kerry would really be as bad a president as George Bush, or if Kerry would be an acceptable alternative. If Kerry is not at all acceptable than by a

He was a Republican president though. He created the Bull Moose Party for a later election, which he didn't win. That election, 1912, interestingly enough was the only election where we had three people who were at one time president all running, Roosevelt, Taft, and Wilson.

In exactly what poll does Bush have 55% of the vote. Even polls conducted by the Republican party don't put him that high.

Y&SECTION=OLYMPICS&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT">Link I'm not sure if this is really a political post, but when you think about it it really is. As some of you may know in the men's all-around olympic gymnastics final, American Paul Hamm won the gold by a slight margin over South Korean Yang Tae-young.

he's not using his medals, he's using his war record. He says that he fought honorably in Vietnam (let's not make this another argument about the SBV's) even though he opposed it. He's saying the courage he showed during Vietnam reflects a good side of his character. He can still denounce the war and the medals he got for it by opposing it. Wouldn't he be a hyppocrite if, opposing the war (as did most Americans by the end of the war) he had kept hi

Zell Millers is free to vote however he wants, but why be a Democrat if you vote with republican over 70% of the time. People are trying to show Zell Miller as evidence that democrats are moving towards Bush, but this is really misleading since Zell Miller isn't much of a democrat. He's really just a republican senator from Georgia who supports Bush. I wouldn't be jumping for joy if some Republican who vote with the democrats 75% of the time endorse

Yes, that's true. America did throw off its opressors a long time ago. But you can not blame every individual person for not standing up to a tyrant. There are a brave few who do, and if enough can to start a revolution, then the rest will follow. But it's hard to be the one who condemns a tyrant, knowing he and his family will be killed. Most of us, if were in that situation, would probably be silent.

whoa that was a little uncalled for. I don't think Deference was suggesting we should just forget about the Iraqis. he probably just meant that we should have spent more time and money on America rather than Iraq. There's no need to attack him like that.

When George Bush pitched the Iraq war to the American people, he made it sound more appealling by saying it was part of our War on Terror. But has our invasion or Iraq really deterred terrorism? Before I explain my case let me just say that I think terrorism is disgusting, evil, and abhorent. I do not support terrorism in any form and it is not a legitimate form of protest. That being said, the way we're going about fighting it is innefecti

well maybe make 2 or 3 political capital each turn, and spend the rest on H.Q.'s.

How many times have you risked your life life for political change little_whip. How can you call these people cowards. Many Iranians already have given their lives trying better their country. Who are you to accuse them of cowardice because they haven't all risked their lives and the lives of their families. You live in a free society where you can say whatever you want and not have to fear that people will come and kill your family for it. It's r

We always hear the media talking about how many American soldiers have died and Iraq, but they never seem to care to tell us about how many innocent Iraqis have died. American soldiers aren't the only casualties of war.

Here's an almost unbeatabloe strategy for winning. Spend the first 23 weeks going around the country building 3rd level headquarters in all the big states and swing statest that you need to win. It takes a lot of money so you'll need to do a lot of fund-raising and pick a VP with lots of money. By week 23 your should be able to have 9 or 10 3rd level H.Q.'s bringing you about $900,000 a week. Don't even worry about the polls, don't give speeches a

Just wondering, how many of the people writing on this thread aren't descended from immigrants. My guess would be 0. We should try to stop illegal immigration, but make legal immigration easier. Immigrants have always been an integral part of America. They don't just take jobs, they create jobs too. The economy grows as their are more people to buy stuff inside the United States.
