I am going to be fighting Gerald R. Ford the next time I play as well. I am really hoping for some tips---such as the tips I received for Arnold, who was hard to beat. All I know is that I'm using Bill Clinton and he swept passed Taft...I am looking for suggestions and advice as well.

William H. Taft is a powerful candidate---even though he only served 1 term in office (1908-1912). Many have complained that beating him is a very hard task that takes determination, and all that weird stuff. My easy guide to beating Taft is finally here. After experimenting with the extremely talented Bill Clinton, and Mr. G. from Texas, I was able to win. First of all, create a V.P candidate from Texas if you hope to win anything big. I was losing Te

I don't know...it came like that..I went in for some investigating...looked in the Data folder and found that Bill Clinton had '50' stamina...wonder how that happened???

Condi Rice is very easy, but it seems that I can never win facing Arnold S. I'm playing with a custom candidate whose experience, media bias, and minority appeal is very high. The first time I played he won my home state of Florida by 1 point. I won Texas, Pennslyvania, N. Carolina, California, and New York. I had to pull out some EXTRA-ORDINARY big-bucks. The second time I played he won Texas, and Florida along with all the other states besides Califo

I played Clinton---just at the start, he was the winner in all of the southern states. It didn't show the light blue (most likely indicating a 'big' win)...I had leads in Condi's home-state. I was a Democrat....it was kind of weird, but it seems that some people find him hard to beat. BTW: does anyone know how to unlock Thomas Jefferson, G.Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, and other candidateS?

Do you have pictures and such??? You don't know to upload them??? Easy. Look into your data folder for 'Political Machine'. It should list as the following (unless you made changes during the installation): C:/Program Files/Ubisoft/Stardock/PolMachine/Data. Then, look at the data notes (such as corecandidate) and see how the candidates were constructed. In a text file (Notepad), write down data similar to how you want it. If you want a picture, you

I have tried, downloaded the 1.01 version, and I have two 'big' problems. First of all, the Fantasy Mode is not working. It allows me to go into the Fantasy Mode options (you know choosing your difficulty, candidate, etc.), but as soon as I click 'Start' it begins the music, but then the game crashes and goes back to my desktop. Also, my cursor is ruined. Every single time I go into the game, it looks like it is trying to pull up an image, and

Here it is: I won with over 400 electoral votes facing Rice. From the beginning, I had a lead in practically the whole south (wonder how that could've happened) including her homestate of Alabama. I ended up winning 43 of the 50 United States...This is actually my first game that I've played through.

It came up with an error of some kind...I will try again, and see if it will work...thanks in advance. Today, I am going to install the patch because it seems that some of the features listed above are not working. Thanks. I'd better read the intstructions!

I don't know to make one..but I do know how to upload...ask Jeffery Pinnard, the member how to, if you really want to find out. I'm wondering myself how to create your own candidate. Anyway, you can upload the candidaes Jeffery Pinnard & other people created. People like Homer Simpson and Marvin the Martian! First, click on the picture. It will start to upload. Click 'Save' when a box appears up. Save it in an important folder. Cre

jscott: Thanks...I knew it was something about the Constitution.... Oh, and actually, jscott, Jefferson drafted the declaration of independence. It has been said that Jefferson didn't write all of it, or he wrote very little, but how can you believe something like this, when there is no evidence??? The Federalists were: George Washington, John Adams, John Quincy Adams [possibly the last Federalist-roots known in a presidency]. <br

I need some 'descriptive' information into editing a candidates money, personality, etc. I also need some information on how to go about getting in the new candidates that Jeffery Pinnard (is that his name???) posted: Howard Dean, John McCain, Marvin the Martian, JFK?? Can someone go about helping me? Thanks in advance...

Washington & Jefferson was of different parties than we currently have. Washington was a 'Federalist', and Jefferson was a 'Democratic-Republican'/'Republican' (not the same Republicans as the 1856 one). Federalists were people who supported the Constitution and Democratic-Republicans were people who didn't support it. Those were the parties of the day. Now, that explains why Virginia (which is home to Jamestown, the first British colonial city/town in

What about the version 1.01 out?? You should check that out. Some people were complaining about how they couldn't be Theodore Roosevelt, because he was too strong. I suggest you download the 1.01 version. There is a forum out here that tells you all about what has been updated.

After some hard research, I come to conclusion that the Republicans and Democrats flip-flopped or switched issues after the 80s. It seemed to me that Republicans were actually 'liberal' during the early years: northerners, anti-slavery, more liberal. These presidents were Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, and William McKinely: people who were very liberal, and cared more about the people. Democrats were all 'southern', and pro-slavery during the early

I think that the game is more 'fun' than we actually think it is...of course, it is less advanced, because then people wouldn't want to buy it. I like the expansion suggestions though, and it would make a much more exciting game. Hopefully, if everyone rushes out and buys it: we'll see an expansion...

President Forever does the same thing...your VP candidate doesn't run out of what is called 'energy points'... My suggestion is to have your candidate take a break...and then have your V.P. candidate campaign in the same state...

Good! As soon as I get the game (next week Thursday....) I will be sure to have the 1.01 in my hands before I even play the game...
