I'd like to see it changed so that it has a definite effect on both the player and the computer's base as well as it being something we can track while we play. I know we only have two candidates so the base really has no choice but to vote for us but perhaps it could keep them home on election day.

Oh I thought Chloe was a republican, lol. Opps. Then yeah I'd go Granholm.
double post, sorry.
I haven't experimented with multiple web masters in a single state. I think the max should be 75% no matter how many ads WM you have.
If I understood Frog yesterday endorsements do have negatives within your party, its just a stat we don't see in game.
Chloe Sullivan = Whitman?
Thought of another. In an above post it is suggested to move web masters around. I prefer to place one in each of two or thress states and do all of my tv ads in those states until week 31. Since tv ads have national appeal it is a good wat to pick up support in other states without spending a buttload on newspaper and radio ads everywhere.
While I am not an expert a few things that have helped me may help others so here goes. 1. Pay attention to everyone saying to build HQ's. It is incredibly important to your ability to advertise later in the game. And don't just make small ones, build them babies up. 2. Make use of web masters. Cutting the cost of tv ads by 3/4 is a huge deal when you get to candidates that require you to fight back with a massive tv ad campaign.<b
There is an advatage to pushing some controversial issues in certain states, gay marriage in Cali for example. I wouldn't try to make it a national issue but it can give you a nice boost with the largely dem population there.
I am willing to admit my mistakes and I jumped the gun on the Clinton thing. By playing around I have been able to replicate his spending, just not against him. What is it that makes the computer harder on higher levels before money does become an issue?
I think some of the core issues need to be tweaked in an update. I think someone else mentioned this elsewhere but a lot of the issues are either good or bad across the board. Some of them make sense to be because of how they are written, social security for example. It makes sense the way it is because no politician seeking serious support is gonna leave seniors out in the cold but today's debate is generally more about whether to privatize it whic
Also, unlike question marks, the camera is only around for 1 turn, if you miss it, you miss it.
Should it be in the main polmachine file or inside another file?
An update is coming and if you bought it in a store I don't think you have the operatives kit, that will become avaliable to buy online later.
I have the version I bought in the store. I would love to update it but we retail buyers weren't given serial numbers so.......
How are you guys getting this report? i don't get anything from ctrl D.
I am so lost now. Endorsements hurt you with your party? Shouldn't that be something we can track? From reading your answers to our questions about whether the game cheats I am getting the distinct impression most of the important stats just aren't displayed to us in the game.
About the Pat Smith thing, this goes with my post about my fantasy settings affecting my campaign mode. I had to re-enter my name every game until i changed it in fantasy settings. The fantasy settings are overriding the campaign.
I love the idea of this game but the more I play it the more it feels like it belongs in an arcade than on my pc. This may sound weird but in some respects the game is too balanced. For example, there is no logical political reason a pro-choice dem and a pro-life republican with the same experience should have the same access to the women endorsement. Rather than adding balance by allowing both equal access to that endorsement the balance should be
I don't know if this applies to your case but I was having a lot of trouble going into the negative when I started because I was using too much tv and radio advertising and didn't have the HQ levels to support it. Now I only use TV ads in states where I have a web master or a director and I build my HQs to second or third level. I tend to depend far more on newspaper ads and speeches these days.
That explains it. I don't mind harder challenges but IMHO it would be better to give the computer a national awareness at the beginning that you have to overcome rather than letting them just do whatever they want.
I understand that the game is supposed to get harder and harder but this is moving past fun to down right irritating. Can you please either get rid of the newspaper or stop the computer from being able to do things while its on my screen? I can't count the number of times I have missed an opportunity at a question mark because before I can move I am greeted with a newspaper and before I can close it my opponent has already got the advisor,
I don't understand why it has to be either a fun game or an election simulator. Maybe I am just too much of a political junkie but a few things an election simulator should have, like endorsements based on position rather than buying them or character attacks, would be fun.
"Also the suggestions might have a better home in the ideas sticky thread at the top of the forum" I see a sticky for election night but not for general ideas.
