The Libertarian Party has a number of candidates (600, according to the party site) in public office at various levels, and runs candidates at every level of government. 600 Isn't a lot considering we have nearly 1/2 a million elected officials in this country. Like I said, I don't know about

The 1000 Death so called "milestone" is not something that should be celebrated. Its sickening and as Limbaugh put it today "ghoulish" to be in utmost joy that you can exploit US Army deaths for your political gain.

The biggest problem with 3rd parties is that they refuse to put an effort into fundraising or use their personal wealth to win elections. The other thing is they try for offices like President and US Congress and what not much to their disappointment. If they started building their parties at the grass roots by pouring money and effort into Aldermen and State Senators and local offices like that they could build their parties from the ground u

Oh yeah, and the Horton ad was made by an independent group, not endorsed by the 88 Bush campaign, and it was accurate. The Charge it made against Dukakis was factual and true. Stop acting like its not fair to point out the shortcomings or bad parts about a candidate. As long as the attacks are true - which they are in the Horton case - its not a bad thing. People should know who their president is.

Oh yeah, its so terrible the Swift Boat vets got funded by these "rich republican donors" , like their largest single donor Perry who gave $100,000. It's a mockery of campaign finance! Smear tactics! Republican Attack Machine! But George Soros giving $15 million dollars to MoveOn.Org that launched ads comparing Bush to Hitler, and Soros who himself said "Bush reminded him of the Germans", that's okay, it's his free speech! Lousy hip

It always makes the same lesser known issues rise to the top,and it's always the same issues too. There is so many in the game, I think a randomize function would've been nice so that each time you play you got a different set of issues. The choices now are regular, standard issues or a different set of issues that is always the same too.

I played on tough and I found having 2 level 3's as well as 4 or so level 2's was plenty. While the computer was doing pretty good earlier on I turned things around eventually and ended up winning 342-196, though most of the states like Ohio and California where within a few points so a minor shift towards the comp would've basically reversed that electoral college count into his favor.

Yeah, what a smart move on Iran's part. Threaten America, which happens to have troops stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq, thus surrounding them. After seeing what happened to Saddam and his cronies as well as the Taliban, I am amazed they want a piece of us. It makes me question their sanity.

This has only happened to me once, but I fear it might happen again so I will ask about it here. When I got into the game with a friend online the game started lagging. It took a few seconds after a click for the game to respond to my commands. I figured this was standard lag as my friend is on a 56k but then it got worse to the point where it took up to a few minutes for the game to do anything. Even clicking end turn took forever to replenis

It looks like updates are publically available. I guess implementing a cd key system would be much more trouble than its worth for such a game. This isn't the next Half Life we're talking about here, its a game tailored to a very niche audience. And it's not like they're charging an arm and a leg for it. It was a smart move to price it at $20 in retail and not to include barriers to playing like cd-keys. The box art was also a brilli

yey Rush Limbaugh. Are you drawing those characters' pictures too so they look like the original ones?

I agree that there should be a more partisan breakdown of issues. It's not true however that a presence in a state will make it automatically vote for you. I have noticed that as a Republican if you go to California and plop down a few newspaper or radio ads, yes you will get the lead because of your presence, but as time goes on all your Democrat opponent has to do is visit a few times and maybe put down a single ad and make a speech and it i

Going by super-liberal logic, World War 2 was a "wanted to" war not a had to, at least in Germany. It was Japan that attacked us, so why did we go to Germany? Germany had no plans to attack the United States. We also did not secure UN resolutions condemning Japan and Germany and France were not on board our war against Japan (Germany was their ally and France had fallen yet again), and without those "strateg

"Rarely, a state will numerically vote for one side, but it will be colored (and its electoral votes will go) for the other side. This has never cost me an election, but it's still annoying to spend $8mil on Pennsylvania only to see it vote for Condi Rice." YES! I have documented this bug also. Did this happen to you in single player? Cause I had a theory that in MP it happens because the comps have both different data so if you're not the hos

Aha, so there does seem to be inconsistency between data. They should work to make sure that all stats and money are the same on BOTH computers because if I am winning a state 55-45 I will go to a closer state on my screen, then if it turns out I lose that state because on my opponent's screen I was losing it and I lose the game I will be VERY UPSET!

I see nothing about being not able to build ads or HQ's after a certain point in the game, or not being able to delete currently running ads. Also the problem of states being called wrong (where you can be winning 55-45 in a state and still have it count towards your opponent). Those are 3 very big issues.

That could be the case, though I thought the final tallies are already after the margin of error is included. On the week prior to election week I was up in California 50-43. It also still doesn't explain as you said Pennsylvania, which showed me up 54-45.

Me and my friend whom I played against online have determined that this could be an inconsistency with player data, because in both cases, Penn and Cali, it appeared that I was winning by 9 and 5 points (respectivley) and on his screen it was much more of a tossup. If I was or he was winning within the margin of error on his screen, but on my screen it was a bigger lead for me, this could've resulted (since he's the host) for them to be tallied into hi

11 Replies 9,141 Views

Well that is the post-election map. This is AFTER the votes have been tallied. I am up 52-47, that is beyond the +/-3 point margin of error that the manual speaks of. When you are up or down by 3 points it is a tossup and can go either way, but it shouldnt be for a 5 point lead, and when I lost pennsylvania in the game above this one that I posted I was up 54-45, which is 9 points.
