Interesting. I tried that update for IconPackager and got the same error. However I am updating WB and Deskcapes without a problem. While downloading them I tried to set Iconpackager to update and it said to please wait while Impulse is logging in and complete any installs in progress. However I was able to choose WB to update and then Deskcapes separately to update and no error. So I feel there is some error in the IconPackager update.

Here is mine. Its too bad RIP 2007 doesn't work with Win7 yet but the 2008 RIP is a nice WB as well. Just using background and icons from Rip2007 with it hehe. The Objectdock doesn't fully fit but haven't felt like messing with it. [img] [/img] Th

I'm happy its a success for Stardock, but I have never understood the need to put icons on your desktop which are normally covered by windows and therefore inaccessible. No matter that Fences organizes them into groups, they are still hidden. A person who is disorganized I feel is the person who most needs this program, but bad habits can be difficult to change.

The good thing about Vista JSpencer2000 is that since Win7 isn't so different from it, I imagine most things for Win7 will work for Vista as well. Its XP that more or less won't get the newest stuff. I'm glad to hear it. I agree that things have gotten rather stale lately and we need to be able to do more than make Windows look pretty. WPF opens up a lot of possibilities as well. Casual users are just that casual (like me). We get involved in spurts, we do not change things on a regular basi

I'm excited to hear that Stardock is moving forward with Win7 and trying to mostly leave XP behind. I think it found when Vista came out it couldn't put everything into moving forward because there was resistance to people switching to it. Win7 is awesome in my opinion and it seems many others. Sure it has its problems, but overall its a very capable OS. Frankly I'm hoping Stardock gets some innovative and useful programs out for Win7. I have debated whether to

I look at textures as a way to extend the usage of a particular skin. After awhile you may still enjoy it but want a little variety, so boom try a different texture. No matter what all skins can be changed by the end user, by only use the title bar, re-coloring, or simply altering bits for their own use, so I don't see how this is any different. Also as mentioned another way for skinners to skin, provide different textures to use with their WB or someone can make a texture they like for use w

That interface is different than my OD+. Its the revised interface I heard was coming but no indication in the video of when it will be available. I do not show an update in Impulse for it. Any idea on release information then?

Interesting I had the problem with Dreams freezing and I didn't have the pause thingy to do with Battery power on. I checked it and unchecked it right away and that may have fixed it because dreams work properly now.

I love the new interface but seem to have difficulty installing new dreams. I tried RedCoveTriggered and it wouldn't install by either double clicking on the file (after unzipping) or by choosing in Deskcapes "Install new dream". It only installed once I dragged the file over to the Deskcapes window. Another dream I downloaded worked fine using the "Install new dream". For some reason any dream I try only moves for a short time and then freezes. I know that didn't happen before either. Th
I got it to work when I click on the old windows blinds GUI there is a tab in left hand corner click to open new interface, the new interface does not open automatically on it own Go to the start menu/all programs and make a shortcut to WindowBlinds beta 2. That shortcut will launch the new UI.
I have no trouble opening up the new GUI everytime. I always open up WB config by right clicking on

A slight update to the color change issue I mentioned in reply #75. It works fine in Vista, its in Win7 that it isn't reflecting the changes. Although I tried another skin, Miricla, that says you can do color changing but it does not do it in WB 7. I think this might be something to do with this skin since others change colors (have commented in that skins comments). A couple other notes in Vista (maybe in 7 also haven't tried) Using the menu "Skin Options" and "Install Skin", installin

I'm noticing the same problem as skyzyk above, the color changes don't do anything. I've tried with Corporate and Miricla, both should change colors and nothing happens. I've tried all sorts of checkboxes, etc and nothing happens. Also I thought Stardock was an American company, so why does the interface have Color spelled incorrectly as Colour :P

Love the new interface! Takes a little getting used to the different orientation, but definitely being re-sizable will help with Netbooks since I have trouble WB6 on it. One suggestion though, its a minor quibble. Is it possible to make an option so it can do a sample screenshot with the taskbar up top (or the side if someone chooses)? Should have asked for this before, but it would make it easier when selecting a skin to use how it looks with the bar up top. I suppose though part of th

For those who say the way Windows comes is always boring, are partly right. It has to be that way, it has to fit all kinds of people, some who like fancy, but some who like "boring" so it can never fully benefit everyone. That's where skinning comes in to help those who wish to change the default look to something they consider more useful. I never cared for the XP look, too kiddie for me, but if you like it, there's nothing wrong with that. I did like Vista more, 7 only slightly more so,

As much as I'd love to be a tester, but will wait for it to be released for subscribers first (which I assume will be the case to get a test with a bigger load before full deployment). Unsure if I'd be that good a tester, being a rather light user. Looking forward to the re-do for sure.
