It should be in the I386 directory of your XP CD. It will be named "ntoskrnl.ex_". Copy it to your hard drive and then use the "expand" command. For example, "expand ntoskrnl.ex_ ntoskrnl.exe".

Running a Geforce4 TI4400 here. Very happy with the gaming performance, but it's compatibility with WindowFX leaves a lot to be desired. If I didn't game, I would have a Radeon so that I could really see WindowFX in action. I've been playing with Linux for a couple of years now and I like it (not as my main OS though). The only way I can see Linux becoming acceptable for the masses, is when people like my mother can use it. Right now, she can fire up her system, log onto the Internet, check her mail and do a small amount of other things. When it gets to the point that it is as easy to use as Windows, it might stand a chance. Until then, it is just going to be a niche market for technical types.

So far, in my Linux endeavors, I have ran Red Hat, Mandrake and Suse. For someone completely new, I would suggest Mandrake. It's free to download and the setup is very easy. I'm running Suse 8.0 now, but you have to buy it. It's a very nice distribution, but you may want to try one of the free distributions before you shell out money for it. Just to see if you will like it or not.
Initially, I began using the shareware version of Windowblinds. When I decided to register it, I found out about OD and decided that I wanted the whole package, not just WB. I'm now in my second year of using OD and I look forward to see what is coming in the future.

I dual boot between Windows and Linux. Just moved from Mandrake 8.2 to Suse 8.0. So far, I am liking Suse much better. The fact that it has KDE 3 already installed helps. Now all I have to do is get the Liquid theme from Mosfet up and running and I will be happy.

This is great! I have wanted to have a copy of OD on CD ever since I subscribed. Whenever I use the backup & restore feature of the component manager, I always wind up getting errors. This will be a great way to back up my investment. Thanks.
