I submitted a ticket to support in late April (#UDN-418222). I did get a reply (Mike was very helpful), but it is apparently not an easy fix as it was forwarded to the developers. Basically, the top bar with my minimize, maximize and close buttons would disappear on some windows. A reboot usually took care of it for a while, but it always presented itself again. That sounds very similar to problems that I am having. Intermittently, the tops of windows will disappear and I am unable to change skins. I am also having files created on my desktop with names such as _PersonalityHorz2. I have a ticket in with support on this and if I hear anything, I will let you know.
I have a home server running Linux that I use for a file server, backups and some development. I have been dual booting my main system since about '99 (on and off).
One of the things that I really liked in SDC was the ability to sort what applications are currently installed and what is available. I don't see that functionality in Impulse though. Is it available or planned?
Unless you are just referring to Mac OS X, I remember using Kaleidoscope on System 7.5 as far back as around 1995 or so. For the most part, it was what began my interest in customization. From there it was onwards to a PC and the likes of LiteStep and eFX, which all eventually lead me to Stardock.
Radeon 9800 Catalyst 5.13 The only problem that I have seen is that the start menu sometimes retains a ghost image of the last used wallpaper after I change to a new one. Other than that, I have no problems.
its really not designed for distributing your configs at all It could be to a certain extent. Say, if people were to design special effects such as the 'Ping' or 'Echo' effects, for example.
Think I will try another uninstall/re-install and see if it doesn't clear up the problem with blank icons. Is anyone else having this problem (specifically with the briefcase icon)?
I had hoped that this release of IconX would have fixed the issue with the Briefcase icon loading blank, but it is still doing so.
Try using 'Magic Pink' for the areas you want to be transparent - 255,0,255

Whatever the issues were, they appear to have been corrected (for me at least). I am now able to pull up pages and download files again.
I'm having problems as well. Long load times (if the pages load) and if I try to download a file, the operation simply times out. I have tried using IE, Firefox and Stardock Central and get the same results from each. Like werewolf, both Stardock and Wincustomize are in my trusted zones and I have cleared cookies and cache also. I believe that this started for me yesterday (or maybe the day before).

IZArc is a fantastic utility that I have been using for some time now. Aside from .zip, it also supports 7-ZIP, ACE,ARC, ARJ,BH, BZ2, CAB, DEB, GZ,HA, JAR, LHA, LZH,PAK, PK3, RAR, RPM, TAR,TGZ, TZ, and ZOO.
For a while now, IconX has been causing blank icons (such as the "My Briefcase" icon on my desktop) to load as a blank template. The newest build of DesktopX was supposed to fix that (according to the history file), but it hasn't in my case. I wrote to Stardock support some time ago and it has been escalated to the developer, but I have not heard back from them yet. I was just wondering if anyone else is still having this issue and if you were able
Just a bug, I am guessing. I heard back from Stardock suppor and they said that they are working on a new build, so I'll just wait and see if that resolves the issue.
I'm sure that they probably do, but since this isn't an 'official' support means (it's more peer to peer than Stardock to Customer) you are better of mailing their support team at [email protected]. I have, but haven't heard back from them yet.
