Bush Hits back - Dems Reveal hand

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,175878,00.html

Bush and Cheney have been on the offensive lately.  Some say it is way overdue.  They are refuting the claims of the Democrat leadership that they were in the dark.  (Yea, I know, they are always in the dark).

But Rep Murtha played their hand today.  He called for a complete and utter retreat from Iraq.  Forget the 2000 Americans and the other allies losses!  Time to pull out!

So the democrats are finally getting honest, if not smarter.  Murtha has shown that the democrats, who voted for the war before they voted against it, have one simple agenda.

The defeat of America will mean the defeat of Bush!  So let us pack up and leave and admit defeat so we can say Bush was defeated!  Forget all those men and women who sacraficed for the 30 million iraqis!

Forget the fact that while the bacteria still exist and continue to target more innocents than troops are losing.  Forget the fact that we have liberated a country where a despot routinely slaughtered those he did not like.  Forget all that!

Let's cut and run!

You know what is more sickening than not having a policy, as the democrats have not had for 5 years.  What is more sickening is that they detest the troops so much that they want to trash them to get to Bush.

That is what is truly sickening!

It was reassuring to see the House Republicans grow a little backbone & put that little resolution to a vote last night. Stunt or not, it was needed.

Everything Rep. Murtha said about the way Bush conducted the Iraq War is correct. Bush going on the attack is a joke. Nothing he has done has help the American People. The unrest in Iraq is unending and stay the course is not a answer. It is time for the people of Iraq to take control of THEIR country and if the can not or will not do that, too bad!

No Colon Gangrene, your pathetic existence is a joke. Like Murtha, you have traded in your honor and integrity for hate and spineless cowardice.

To leave now is to leave Iraq to the bacteria. If that is what you and Murtha wish on the people of Iraq, then I wish the same on you.

You do not know what Honor IS! To support a policy that sent our brave military into a war that did not need to be fought is the worst action possible. We have a Five time deferment VP and a Presedent that disobayed his orders when in the Air Guard while he was avoiding Vietnam calling the shots. You are supporting two real loosers.

Ted -

I respectfully disagree with your tone concerning Murtha - his service has earned our gratitude and respect. His position is simply shortsighted & wrong. Making policy recommendations on the basis of emotion & sentimentality rather than logic & realpolitik is tempting but foolish.

However, I would not insult Mr. Murtha by painting him with the same brush as you do Gene. Gene is clearly motivated by an obsessive hatred that I simply can't understand. Nothing about Murtha suggests he hates anyone; he has heretofore supported the President on the war and should be accorded his due.

Again, I don't think Murtha is insincere, just wrong. Gene reminds me of Melvin in Office Space, devoting his entire existence to getting his stapler back and threatening to burn the building down if he doesn't.

Cheers,
Daiwa

Maybe, just maybe you should listen to your own leaders. Just maybe

maybe, just maybe, you should actually read what i've been writing--for quite some time--before you presume to suggest to whom i should or shouldn't listen. just maybe.

the point of my previous comment here was to wonder about the accuracy or validity of your title's claim (democrats reveal their hand) based on the votes cast for and against the resolution in question.

you chose to respond with some silly inanity (apparently you were in a mood since i see you characterized murtha as a liberal in an earlier response to someone else).

after yesterdays lil congressional stunt, i think it's pretty clear to everyone who's revealing what to the rest of the country.

it aint the democrats.

and it ain't their hands.

Daiwa, yes Murtha has earned our respect and admiration for his military record... and yes, he has supported military action up until now. My comments should not be taken in any way as disrespect for his military nor his entire Congressional record.

However, if his stance is that we should leave the people of Iraq to the bacteria infesting it, then I say that is a cowardly position. Not only cowardly but extremely naive. Does he think that us pulling out our troops would lead the bacteria to follow suit? If we leave now (or in six months as Murtha suggests), is their an infrastructure in place in Iraq that could withstand the onslaught of terrorists?

Whether those who oppose the war like it or not, Iraq is the epicenter of the war against Islamist terrorism, to lose in Iraq is to lose the war just as it has begun.

We have been attacked by Islamist Jihadists for decades now. Every time we were attacked and did nothing it only emboldened them to hit us with bigger attacks. For us to prove that we don't have the stomach to fight back, then we will prove ourselves to be exactly what the bacteria think of us as a nation... Cowards.

and you are right, it was unfair of me to lump Murtha in with the little stapler fiend Colon Gangrene. My apologies to Rep. Murtha.

Still campaigning for the 2004 election Colon Gangrene? Pathetic as usual.

Pathetic does not begin to describe the results of a president that sent our military into a war that DID NOT NEED to be fought and HAS NOT MADE US SAFER.

Nothing I or that anyone who does not agree with Bush has done comes even close.

And yet Prs. Bush won the election... get over it loser.

I never said I advocated a "quick withdrawal". I said I think it's despicable for you to imply that Murtha detests the troops.

Try again.

I think it is despicable that someone who has been in harms way would use politics in this sitaution.  Since he did the first despicable thing, why dont you call him to task?  You wont.  You never question any on the left, and that is the problem.

No matter how you spin this.....Murtha is a fekking idiot!

I dont agree.  He has stopped being a soldier, and become a gutless politician.

Way pat due.  It is time for the democrats to put up or shut up.

I think that sums up his hatred.  SO it takes, what 5 years to completely destroy a career.  5 years to dstroy a lifetime of work.  Way to go COl KLink.

That is a very graphic and funny analogy.

It never will be,  They have forgotten what leadership is.  And as for your stands, perhaps I will start listening when you start critizing your party,  Until you do, you are just another one of the sheep bleating 2 legs good, 4 legs better.

NO, I think the democrats just want us to be losers so they can blame bush.  They care nothing but being able to blame bush.  They are a one trick pony, just like COl Klink.

It's a sad world that we live in where a decorated veteran can't make his opinion of the war known without being called a coward or despicable. You should listen to Daiwa..why can't you just disagree with something without resorting to being hateful.

Whether this is your blog or not, if you address me make sure it is accurate. You are lying when you say I never question anyone on the "left". Unlike you, I do not mindlessly follow anyone.

It's also a bit of a stretch to label Murtha as being on the "left".

He cant.  Just like the other losers cannot.

First, get off it.  WHen you start publishing your disagreement, then you can lecture, and never on my blog jerk.  Second, Murth has an honorable military career, but even if a CMH winner then went on a killing spree, that would be despicable.  So you are just being stupid and naive when you attempt immunize pat heros from current deeds.  They are not the same.

You can come on here and pontificate all you like.  For now.  But try this shit again, and you will have to fart in your own mudpuddle.

See? You just cannot have a rational debate without spewing hatred. Stupid and naive? Hardly. Exactly what dastardly "deed" did Murtha commit? Having an opinion?

You can come on here and pontificate all you like. For now. But try this shit again, and you will have to fart in your own mudpuddle.

Try what "shit"?? Disagreeing with you? If you don't want anyone to disagree with you and not call you out when you make silly statements, then go right ahead and blacklist me now. I didn't realize your "blogs" were just for your like minded sheeple to comment on.

By blacklisting me like a coward, you've shown you have no interest in interacting with me. Therefore, I will not respond to you regarding my comments that were specifically addressed to someone else.

By blacklisting me like a coward,

Like a "coward"? Would you like me to post "why" you were blacklisted you ignorant fucktard?

Then I put a question "directly" to you. Show me a "specific" example of you questioning the left. Can you? I doubt it. There that's not a comment addressed to someone else. That's direct from me to you. "This" is why you were blacklisted!

Congratulations! You are now officially King Of All Liars! Show me where I said that Libby deserves to be in jail.
