I agree with you Col, and I respect your personal beliefs. You have to see, though, how allowing a spouse ten years separated from a wife could be abused as a precendent. Maybe his motives are pure, who knows. There will be, though, people whose motives aren't.

Yes it troubles me to think of her without water and food. I do not know how else to allow her to return to GOD. When my father died he had a written directive not to kept him alive like Terri. We connected him to a ventalator until the family could arrive and then removed it per his wishes and allowed him to pass with his family around him.

I just can't see how you can call the man her spouse. Do you really think her husband, the guardian, will file for a divorce from him FOR her?

Can't you see how that is a gaping hole in the system? Each time his guardianship is questioned it is smacked down basically because the people questioning don't have "guardian" status, and therefore can't speak for her. Don't you think that is just a tad asinine?

Simply being alive is not being alive for a human being. The thing that make us different from all other creatures is our ability to think and make choices. Terri can do neither. It is time to allow her to return to GOD where she will be alive again!

Latest polls (as flawed as they often are) seem to indicate Evangelicals are bailing ship. Tsk Tsk Tsk. 4 out of 5 pissed that
Government is getting into this matter.

People are catching up .. starting to see the HYPOCRISY!!!

Whats next: Big Government will tell us what underwear to put on (regulation tidey whities?) maybe even where to eat and

Sorry, Baker, but yes, I disagree based on my values. And not just that, as I have said again and again, I went through this kind of thing with my father. I've seen it with my own two eyes and felt it with my own heart. Terri Schiavo is gone; what's left is a shadow. Let the rest of her go, too.

And don't lump me in with the libs, Modman. I normally support right-to-life, just not always in cases like these.

Well, even the Supreme Court refused this one. Very sensible, seeing as all courts till them have also refused to side with her parents; refused to buy into the politicism of this case.

Let the poor woman just die in peace.
