In the spirit of fair play I have decided that any LIBERAL that thinks it is ok to starve Terry Schiavo to death should have to take her place.

Since the liberals say they are in touch with the common man they should have no problem starving themselves to death for the betterment of man.

This simple plan will eliminate much of the “waste” of oxygen and precious resources.

Starving Terry Schiavo and starving a liberal are two different things. Liberals are fully-functioning humans capable of thought (for the most part). Mrs. Schiavo is entirely incapacitated with no chance of recovery. It's not as though she is able to live in the way humans normally do.

Did she not say at one time that she doesn't want to live in a vegetative state? (Or something like that). (California notwithstanding). Why do her parents think they have the right to go against her wishes? Was she an adult when she said that? For someone who calls liberals fatheaded and feels the need to "use as many one syllable words as I can so they don't get confused", your spelling sucks. There used to be knee-jerk liberals, now there are knee-jerk conservatives.

Even if a liberal wanted to starve him or herself, wouldn't conservatives be morally obligated, with their whole life-must-be-preserved-at-all-costs thing, to decide what is best for said liberal, and prevent him or her from dying?

If it was anyone else, maybe, but I think I know him well enough to say no to that one. I think his motivations for writing controversial things are the same as mine...we just disagree on the points that we make.

This is BS!!! The speech therapist alone has stated that in as little as 6 months of therapy, Terri could be talking again. But her scumbag husband has refused therapy. Makes me wonder why that is.....?
It's not like he doesn't have the money now is it? Go do a little google research and learn the "whole" truth!

I think it's funny how, when someone writes a mildly inflammatory article that elicits a lot of passionate responses, the side that opposes what they write wants to accuse them of points-whoring.

I, for one, wouldn't want to be left "living" my "life" in the same mental state as Ms. Schiavo. That's just me, though.
Yes, her husband is a bag of flyblown shit whose trustworthiness is about as solid and water-tight as a fish net, but what else do they have, really? The whole thing seems to be hearsay; he-said-she-said stuff.
I admire her family for their loving, unselfish desire to care for Terri for the rest of her life, but I have to wonder if and when that would get old.

Someone who has lved with a new family for ten years and has kids with another woman shouldn't be considered her "husband". There was no wish set down legally, and the hearsay we have has only been verified by him, and only a long time after she fell into this state.

Its a bad precedent to set, but since Senate Republicans have "taken a side", those who hate them will have the knee-jerk opposite reaction.
