Hi there,

Someone managed to get the exact entry to translate this option?

I was able to translate the next 2 but not the first.

Thanks.

Baio

You need to use "Icon size : " with the extra space between : and "

When I set the taskbar to the top and used software such as topnotify to adjust the position of Windows notifications, the notification form flickered. Please correct it, or can start11 manage the location of Windows notifications.

Do not use topnotify.

Start11 already positions things correctly.

Aha, this is good news. What should I do if I want to set the popup of Windows notifications to the bottom left corner (with the taskbar at the top)? Can it be set to the second screen?

Large size custom Start buttons do not display properly in vertical taskbar. This is a new regression in 2.53 as it displayed correctly in the prior version. I just upgraded, rebooted and the Start button looks like this now. I didn't even open the Start11 settings and changed nothing else. Small sized custom buttons display correctly. Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.5472).

How do I downgrade to the prior version until this is fixed? I've been doing in-app automatic upgrades and so don't have prior installers saved.

I just installed 2.53 and rebooted as instructed.  Now my taskbar has 2 sections where it is not skinned.  Please note that I'm also running Windowblinds 11.06. My computer is running Windows 11 Pro Version 24H2 (0S Build 26100.4349). I tried unloading and reloading and also changing skins with no luck. Please see the attached pic with the 2 problem areas circled in red:

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I can not reproduce your issue on my system. Refer to my screenshot below.

Do you have any other application running that also change how your taskbar look?

Thank you,

I'm running Explorerpatcher (v22631.5335.68.2). I've been using EP and Start11 together for the past two years with no issues. It appears the issue is that Start11 2.53 is doing something different with how it handles custom large start buttons which breaks Start11's excellent compatibility with ExplorerPatcher.

I suspect the issue is some change related to Start11's new experimental support for vertical taskbars under Start11's Enhanced Taskbar feature (which I don't use and have disabled). I notice in your screenshot Start11 is now scaling the large start button down to be smaller and displays a message in red about it. Since I don't use the Enhanced Taskbar feature, my custom large start button remains original size (as it's always been) but yours is now smaller.

If you look at my original screenshot it appears the new incompatibility introduced in 2.53 is related to the vertical offset calculation for custom large start button images. I did a bit of experimentation and pixel counting and the bug may be that Start11 is calculating the vertical offset as if it were scaling down the custom large start button but, since the Enhanced Taskbar feature is disabled, the image is (correctly) not being scaled down - thus the vertical offset is incorrect for an unscaled custom large start button. If this were fixed so that when the Enhanced Taskbar feature isn't being used Start11's custom large start button image size calculation remained the same as it's been for years, I believe compatibility with EP would be restored.

Hey there,

is there a way to downgrade to previous version? This version is broken for me. Just disabled Start11 and it's 100% because of it.

I use DisplayFusion for 2nd monitor taskbar and since Start11 that taskbar is not loading, it also keeps refreshing my live wallpaper... weird stuff. My Synergy is also not working but not sure if this is also because of Start11.

Thanks

There is no previous version available for download once a newer version released. In fact, if I remember correctly, version 11.04 and one version before have issue with Explorer not working properly with current Windows 11 updates. And if issue with DisplayFusion, I don't think previous version would help you.

Does Start11 support second screen taskbar? I see some settings but I can't make the taskbar show up. For now I disabled the 2nd Taskbar from DisplayFusion.

Yes, Start11 do support secondary monitor/s taskbar. Perhaps, since you're using DisplayFusion, it is conflicting with Start11.

I think I made it work. I had to enable 2nd Taskbar in Windows, and now it seems Start11 is customizing that taskbar also. DisplayFusion also works.

On backspacing to return to Start11's Windows 10 style start menu from Start11 search, tiles interface still sometimes lose focus.
Internal Reference ID given for this problem at previous thread was ODNT-9883.
Win11 23H2 22631.5335, newer security patches, Start11 v2 2.53.
Behavior is same as far as I think at previous thread
https://forums.stardock.com/535611/page/1/#3966758

This problem wasn't mentioned at changelog for version 2.53.
If I 'feel' right, chances of malfunction became lower a bit but it still occurs.

Using the "Windows App Style" Start Menu, if you modify the group name of pinned items or create a new group, and then pin an item to Start11 in File Explorer, it may appear that the pinning was unsuccessful. However, if you switch to the "Windows 10 Style" Start Menu at this point, you will find that the item has been pinned there instead.

Start11 version:2.53
Windows version:10.0.26100.4061(Windows 11)

Reproduce steps:

Enable the "Windows App Style" start menu in Start11, then open the start menu, delete all the fixed groups and create a new one, or rename all the default groups.

Select an item in Explorer, right-click and select "Pin to Start11".

At this point, if you open the Start Menu, you will notice that the recently pinned item is not present in the list of pinned items, and the same applies after restarting the computer.

Open the Start11 configuration program, switch the Start Menu to the "Windows 10 Style," and then open the Start Menu again. You'll notice that the items you just pinned have moved here.

It shouldn't be like this. It should be pinned to the "Windows App Style" Start Menu, not the "Windows 10 Style" Start Menu.

Hi,

Running Win11 OS build 26100.4484

Have just upgraded to Start11v2.53. The icons in the start menu have "gone large". I only see 5 icons max and cannot access any of the others. Is this a problem with this upgrade? If so how to I go back a version?

If its not a problem and is a feature. how do I shrink the icons back to the original size?

Thanks

Sorry- after 5+ restarts the issued has resolved itself. Please delete this post.

Thanks
