Mid game when something goes sideways and I need to reload a game it is literally quicker to force-quit and reload than it is to wait for the turn end.  Sometimes if I do decide to wait for the turn to finally end the game reload takes twice as long or longer than if I were to force quit.  Please include some sort of 'pause' feature or something to allow a turn to be interrupted.  

Also - instead of blocking the VIEW of an obsolete ship design can we just delete it completely (without having to force quit and edit the game files) Or - at the very least - have the game remember in saved games what designs are blocked from view.
