A sliver of the underlying desktop seems to be showing under the taskbar when Start11 enhanced taskbar is enabled.

The "Reserve one pixel..." setting doesn't seem to make a difference, if this is even what that setting impacts.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Try these setting.

Thank you.

This is message to Stardock Start11 V2 updates.

I noticed upgrading from Start11 V1 to V2 that under the option "Start Menu", "Configuration", "All programs list"

"Show Universal applications in their own folder"

in V1 it shows up as "Universal Applications", i.e., both words are capitalized

and

in V2 it shows up as "Universal applications", i.e., on the first word is capitalized

It should be all capitalized, to maintain a standard with Windows 11.

Best,

GTC

I discovered a bug with Taskbur blur, transparency, color and rounded corners. The "use automatic color for the taskbar" is behaving differently for no maximized windows vs maximized windows. When  the button is off it should allow to pick a color which is the case in no maximized windows, but the opposite in maximized windows. Please see if you can reproduce.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I can not reproduce your issue on my system. Can I have a video from you showing this issue, so I can try to reproduce it.

Thank you.

Well, while I was submitting the screenshots, I just realised that the option is the opposite with no maximized windows vs maximized, it is confusing but not really a bug. I guess it is an interface "bug"/issue

Hi Nikosyan, thanks for posting.  I can see how that could be confusing, and now have it logged it for internal review.

With the latest windows update, the time and date look like this in the small task bar option. My scaling is set to 300%. How do I fix this?

This is a new update specific to 24h2. You can now modify the time and date.

To change it search "date and time settings"

click the "down arrow" on "show time and date in system tray"

unclick the "show abbreviated time and date" check box

Hi, I cannot upgrade my windows 11 pro to the latest version via the media creation iso as it says start11 is incompatible with windows 11 to perform the upgrade.

I have spent the last 2 days trying everything but windows still defects start11 even though it's uninstalled completely with all regedits and directories removed from  program files , appdata ,program data.

I ran the purge bat file also I found in the faqs. I'm stuck. Please help!

I don't know if this will help, but there are also 4 Start folders in "C:\Users\your user name"\AppData\Roaming\Stardock"

S8, S8D, S10, and Start11_Pins

i have deleted all references to stardock from all appdata folders, still happening after multiple reboots.

this is bad!

The 24h2 update shouldn't be blocked by start 11. That isn't one of their blacklisted programs. They have other 3rd party apps such as Startallback and explorer patcher that is blocked and must be Uninstalled. Do you have any of these programs installed by chance?

Nope it clearly says stardock start11 is installed and isn't compatible with the  upgrade.

I've literally trawled through all of registry searching for stardock and start11 and cleared windowsbt folder rebooted no references at all. Even deleted download setup file.

Far out

Unfortunately you would need to contact Microsoft about this as Start11 is compatible with Windows 11 and should not need removing so this looks to be a bug on their part. Likewise we have no idea what they think they are using to detect Start11 but I know from past experience their detection system is terrible and looks on every single drive not just the files installed so other OSes on dual boot setups, backups etc are included.  This means it sometimes picks up old installed copies.

I must stress that Start11 is not one of the impacted apps that Microsoft blocked as it works differently.

so why is windows blocking this? can we get this fixed?

Because Microsoft isn't doing a very good job identifying their blocked list of apps properly. Its basically like a false positive. The fix would be to report it to Microsoft as a bug since it is a mistake on their end

Ukrainian Localization for Start11

Dear Start11 Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I wasn’t sure of the best way to reach out to you, so I’ll get straight to the point. Your program currently lacks Ukrainian localization, sso I and the chat jpt fixed it 😅😊

The only challenges I encountered were with the "autohide taskbar" functionality and the descriptions of the buttons in the start panel.

I would like to make this translation publicly available. Could you kindly let me know where I can send it for review or implementation?

Thank you in advance for your time and support!
