Great, thank you, appreciate you're quick response on this!

That did fix it, however not a big deal but just a bit of feedback. This does fix it for the main screen but still does not work for any additional screen.

The blur effect seems to be broken in Windows 10.

Turning Use Mica effect on menu background on and off fixes it briefly and then breaks it again, which you can see at the 20 second mark in the video.

This issue occurs in all Start11 styles and seems to be related to the Windows Transparency Effects setting in the Settings app → Personalization → Colors.

Windows 10, 21H2 (19044.5011)

Start11 v2.11

Edit: Apparently this issue seems to be caused by Nvidia driver 566.03 or later.

Are you using the latest NVIDIA driver? If you are, that may be the issue. NVIDIA confirmed there is an issue where it breaks transparency effects for Windows 10. Windows 11 is not affected.

Apparently not the first time they have broken that either.  Happened last November too!

Windows Settings (the newer Universal kind) don't appear in search results.

I used to be able to type the name of a Windows Settings page (like "Update") in the Start11 search box and stuff like the Windows Update app would appear in the results. Now, none of the new (Universal) Settings appear in search results. I can only search for the old Windows7-style control panel apps.

Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.4460)

It does work...

Win11 24H2

Win10 22H2

Ensure you are using Start11 search

Thanks for the quick reply Sean!

I've verified that Start11 search is enabled and that I'm using version 2.11. My Search config screen looks exactly like yours...

But none of the universal settings appear when I type:

Anything else I can check or try? Thanks!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Here is what I get on my system. Update appear under "Settings". Maybe try click on "Clear search history" and see if that reset something. Also, try, Rebuild Search index : https://www.elevenforum.com/t/reset-and-rebuild-search-index-in-windows-11.2945/

Thank you.

I've tried clearing my search history and rebuilding the search index (as basj suggested). I still do not see Settings in my search results. Other Universal apps appear correctly (calculator, clock, etc.).... it's just settings that are missing. Any other ideas? Thanks!

I wonder if your issue is something similar to this one: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-11-settings-app-search-does-not-work/96dc5b7d-d189-4be1-8cac-5135bece7167. If yes, please try the suggestion steps mentioned there.

Searching for settings works fine in the default Windows Start Menu. It's only broken in Start11.

Please try uninstall Start11, reboot immediately, redownload latest Start11 available from your account download page. Install it, reboot again. Retest and report back.

When will this stop being "experimental"? It works perfectly for 2 monitors but I don't understand why it has to revert to left aligned start button when with more than two monitors

Searching seems to break in Start11 every Windows patch/update.  Reinstalling Start11 usually brings it back.

Wondering same.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. From what I understand this is due to OS changes. For reference please refer to Lead Dev respond for this issue:  https://forums.stardock.com/517565/get;3884016

Basj,

I scanned through the 3 pages of the linkprovided that concerns the 1.43 beta version.... I did not find any explanation or mention of the issue. Again, one primary and one secondary monitor function perfectly, what is the reason that it is still not implemented on multiple monitors, it is irritating when I switch from laptop to multimonitor setup.

When i turn on my display tablet same happens.  And support pointing to a 1.43 beta issues link, and we are on Start11 V2 2.11 now... what's the issue?  It obviously has been ongoing?

From what I understand and as mentioned it is the OS that is blocking it. I believe, Dev still looking for a way to implement it.

Breaks everytime after windows patch days.  Reinstalling Start11 (over-top even) fixes it.  You need to do it each time after Windows updates.

We were talking about 3 monitors Start button issue, which will not resolved with reinstalling Start11. And I do think your issue is unique to your system. Please create your own thread so we can try to help your there.

A sliver of the underlying desktop seems to be showing under the taskbar when Start11 enhanced taskbar is enabled.

The "Reserve one pixel..." setting doesn't seem to make a difference, if this is even what that setting impacts.
