I'm thinking of switching back to ObjectDock Plus v1.90

I have done the same and reverted back to ObjectDock Plus v2.0 as it works properly.    v3 better solve the option of adding custom themes, docklets back to the dock.  As of right now it's useless and conflicts with a function I use.   The second time I purchased a version of this dock I could not use it.

This may be me overlooking the option, but I'd love a way to prevent a program from appearing even with "Show running programs" enabled. There are some programs I need to have running but don't want to see in the dock.

I got the Objectdock v3 yesterday, but when I installed it; it didn't have the Configure system tray icons menu and some of the View menu isn't there. Some of the Docklets isn't showing. I love Objectdock and I'm just going to be patient until everything is fixed. I'm using my old Objectdock right now until some of things are fixed. Thanks for the NEW Objectdock and looking for some things that you all are going to add soon. |-)  |-)

Just realize that you won't see some of the features OD 2 Plus had because Windows has depreciated many things from XP, 7, Vista, etc.

Thank you so much and I'm going to upgrade it to the NEW Objectdock v3! I will enjoy it and I'm looking forward to seeing some NEW features to this one! 😊😁😉

Indeed they have...  I am still working with the dev team to compile a list of exactly what they are to fortify a FAQ with.

So many years since ObjectDock was pretty much abandoned, so I switched to the free version of the Nexus dock, which has worked fine in Windows 10/11 and with more options than what the paid version of the old ObjectDock had.

And honestly, I don't want a repeat of that "Start11 v2" burn,  when some "ObjectDock 3 v2" could drop after a while.

So what does ObjectDock 3 have that would make someone move away from a free program to a paid one?

I just rolled back to ODPlus v.190 and now I can breathe a sigh of relief. If they put the use of Custom Themes back into v.3 then I will probably upgrade, provided most of the bugs are worked out. I couldn't use any of my Zoomers or Tiles either, so that was kind of a deal breaker for me. Best of luck, D-Burn.

Like what?  I am currently running ObjectDock Plus 2.0 on Windows 10 and 11.  Works perfectly fine.   The only issues at times are screen positions on multiple monitors and on 4K screens the dock is in standard def and not crystal clear.

It works better than the current v3 dock you have now and it's old.   The only issue with it on Windows 11 is when you right-click a file, press "open with" then choose another app it won't bring up the window till you close the dock.  Thats it.

Are there bug fixes on the way to solve these issues from the dev team or are you not sure yet?

Hope so :)

I wanted to test ObjectDock 2.0 vs 3.0

if I check mark "view > show names" option in ObjectDock 2.0 and then install ObjectDock 3.0 over top of it the show names remains. However, the option to view > show / hide names is not present in ObjectDock 3.0's options.

Overall I am probably going to leave this bug on 3.0 because the "show names" option looks pretty good on my windows 11 device. Perhaps, it should be reinstated?

Its fantastic to see a new version of Objectdock, But reading the forums i see a few features that are in v1.9 are no longer in v3. As V 1.9 works flawlessly for me on Windows 11 i will hold off from upgrading as i am sure there are going to be bugs and things to work out as with any new software release. But it is amazing to know that Stardock has not completely abandoned Objectdock.

Hello, I love ObjectDock since forever but it seems to be too slow when I click an icon to open a progam and the effect zoom out...

There is a faint line in the header of the ObjectDock configuration app that affects the use of the Window control buttons. The window control buttons don't respond to mouse-over below the faint line (see attached).

Interestingly the lines go away if you minimize and then maximize the settings windows after it first opens

Yes, but the windows control buttons still exhibit the same behavior.

Any chance of getting rid of that ugly blue "skinned" config frame? (Windows 10 Home 22H2 19045.4170).

In the post above, you can see I am not experiencing the blue frame. However, I am experiencing an issue with the window control buttons.

ObjectDock - 3.0.1.4; Windows 11 Pro - 22635.3350

Edit -

That skin is likely due to windowblinds somehow, my default settings menu looks the same on windows 10 and 11

Hello!
Now I have now started trying Object Dock 3.01 and there are a couple of things that obviously don't work:
- In settings it is not possible to check the box Enable Aero Peek on running tasks.  (nothing happens when i try to set a check in the box)
- In options for a Dock it is not possible to change any of the options under "Show running applications on my dock".
- In the on my dock option, there is no longer an option to show taskbar icons in a dock.

You have to be honest here. Nexus is still a paid software but with a light version which is also free.

v3.01 still does not work with Docklets and still effects my Show/Hide.   I guess that was not addressed yet.

Very recently, Dev did mentioned that older 32Bit docklet will not work on ODv3 64bit.

Well, that just makes ObjectDock useless if StackDocket cannot be used.

It does make sense. It's very unlikely any 32bit stuff will run on OD 64Bit. That does not mean there won't be updates however. Have to wait and see.
