My taskbar is stuck everytime Hyper-V Manager is envolved. Have to restart explorer from task-manager.

Insider Build here (I know).

What do you mean by stuck?

Hello,

I'm just looking to see whether groupy2 will be able to group the Messenger Windows app as it is currently still unable to. I'm trying this with Groupy2b1 and it still doesn't stick. More info about the versions and system:

So will Messenger ever be supported again or should I quit holding my breath?

It may well be that the Messenger windows app was built with the defective version of the Electron framework.  A dev thought it was a good idea to not only take off the title bar flag from their windows, but also back port the 'fix' to stable versions of the framework!  This was addressed but some companies had already started using the buggy version and released apps with it.

If it is this problem you cannot ever group it, is that the case here?

I'm not sure if it has been posted before, but I would like an option to hide/delay the overlay shown in following image for the settings:

For example, if I have any browser without grouped tabs and I navigate between them and I move my mouse to far up I always see the overlay and not my tabs anymore.

I would like to disable it for single tabs / make it accessible by shortcut or just delay the overlay.

Tried installing Groupy2 from Object Desktop and got the attached errors, even after deleting the download and rebooting.

Downloading it from my individual download list worked.

This issue should be working fine now

I'm sorry, I can't find this so I'm asking here.

If I buy the beta, will I have then also the final version when it will come out, or should I buy it again?

Plust to this, in Object desktop I see Groupy and Groupy 2, Groupy has a Configure button, while Groupy 2 has a Open button...while I don't have it installed, I only have Groupy.

Should I uninstall Groupy to see Groupy 2 Install button?

Thank you.

For the first question, no need to buy again, the "Beta" key, from what I know, should work with Groupy 2 release version. On the second question, I believe there is a bug, it should be only one button on the ODM. If you press those two buttons it open up only Groupy 2. I have forwarded your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

BTW, when you said "Groupy 2 has a Open button". That shows you already have Groupy 2 installed, yes? If so, don't need to uninstall Groupy 1 any longer.

Thanks.

For the first question, that is nice!

Regarding my second question, I only have Groupy 1 installed and I see both Groupy 1 and Groupy 2: next to Groupy 1 there is a Configure button, while next to Groupy 2 there is an Open button. Whatever I press, it opens my Groupy 1 app.

I was wondering if I have to uninstall Groupy 1 (because maybe it is messing things up) so to see some Install button next to Groupy 2.

I have installed Groupy 2 and I saw the same two buttons on ODM. BTW, I did not uninstall Groupy 1 when I installed Groupy 2. Groupy 2 work normally on my system. So, its up to you. If you wish to be safe, you can uninstall Groupy 1 before installing Groupy 2. BTW do know that, if you have active Object Desktop subscription, you should be able to download Groupy 2 installer directly from your account product page.

After Groopy 2  use

1.     When there is a background bar to the tabs

Active tab colors are not well distinguished due to similar colors

=> Enable active tab color specification, or use distinguishable color.

 <With background bar>

 <Without background bar>

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------

2. If single tap in Ms-office, Groopy tab is visible

=>Make Groopy invisible for single tap in Ms-office

< Only one tap, Ms-Office –> No need Groopy!! >

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------

 3. If there is no tab bar , Create a Gruffy < Close all window> button.

No < Close all window> button.

Is this compatible with Edge?  When clicking a link from an email in Outlook, Edge opens a new tab in the active Edge window rather than a new Groupy tab.  The Groupy bar then disappears.  The Groupy bar can be brought back up again by reselecting Edge from the taskbar.  This was also a problem in File Explorer, but have resolved this by redownloading and reinstalling Groupy 2.  I'm using Windows 11 Pro, current version.

Lag and glitches in V.2

Hi,

Thanks for the new update.

But now I have glitches and lag ( please see the video below ).

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nnNkDvnYCobOmSM7ferYtVsTYYRuoIvd/view?usp=share_link

-When (Integrate the tabs) mode is selected and I create a new tab or duplicate any of current tabs the window goes up and down and sometimes tabs are stuck on top of the screen and the window is restored down automatically.

* When ( Place tabs above ) is selected all works fine. But:

- When the window is maximized rollover highlighted color disappears

-------------------------------------- Suggestions-------------------------------------

- Please add options to control the background bar and tabs rollover color.

-Please add an option to duplicate the tabs with the painted color.

- Please add an option to maximize the window from the background bar when it reach the snap edge

- Please add nested tabs ( a tab  contains tabs below - for example, a tab contains customers below)

Thanks

----------------------------------

I'm on Windows 10 Pro. Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045

Quoting sdRohan, reply 2

For the purposes of the Beta, please 1st uninstall Groupy 1, reboot, and then install Groupy 2.  During the uninstall of Groupy 1, you will be given a choice to 'remove settings'; it would be wise to do so.  The additional uninstall option to keep your 'saved groups' (should you have them) can be left unchecked as they should still function.  Any reports of old saved groups not functioning should be reported here.

Saved Group of 4 Programs Loads with 3 grouped and 1 individually

I grouped 4 applications (word processor, spreadsheet, mindmapper and SMath calculation program) which works fine. When saved and reloaded the SMath program won't start in the group, but individually. Can regroup after that, but...

Any other experiencing such like that? Any settings to be changed?

When reloading a group, Groupy sometimes reloads the right documents (which were used when saved), sometimes not.

With my word processor (TextMaker) and spreadsheet (PlanMaker) it doesn't work, but it does fine with SMath (see above), FastMindMap, PDF Xchange Editor and others. Might be up to the programs I use, but can I force them to reload somehow like with command line options?

Cheers, Markus

Hello,

Just repost requested by forum moderator

Here normal windows :

Pretty ok when not maximized

Maximize the windows

As you can see the title bar is cropped...

Hope it will help ;)

Win 11: Groups cannot be maximized by Windows-Key+Arrow-Key, just moved around to 50% or 25% slots

While it works with the mouse buttons (maximizing as well as dropping it to certain slots), it won't with the short cut keys.

Furthermore when using e.g. Dell's own tool for window slots, it handles the programs individually and the group's tab bar vanishes outside the screen's borders...

Another thing : It will be great to maximize the windows when you push the windows on top like a normal windows :

Normal windows :

Groupy :

Nothing to maximize

doesn't appear

You need to drag the window title bar not the groupy bar for that to appear.  That is a Windows thing.
