Uh..😔 that is bad... Very afraid that G2 might give me headaches as I use about 15/20 explorer tabs while working....

I'll let you know if I'll decide to witch already.

Would really love to make some tests with games...

Ps: what about future updates? Will it come soon or is it something still in hard progress?

This is always an option for testing....

We tested and could not get the results you are.

What is the mouse you are using? If a gaming one (no doubt), and you crank the polling \ DPI down as low as possible, do you see it then?

 Three different modells:

 Endgame XM one
 Logitech g502 SE
 Glorious modell o
(Use only one, but i tested with all )
 No matter wich DPI setting,
running groupy 2 beta = stuttering graphics when mouse moves

(i will try to show this in a video, can take some time)

Something is unique with your environment... with that lone game... One that we cannot reproduce.

If you turn off Groupy from its UI, does it still happen?

(Windows 10 Enterprise 22H2 64-bit)

I bought Groupy 2 excited about the new features, but was disappointed to find that the only thing that I bought was the colored highlight bars  -- and even so they don't always load automatically.

One new issue I found is as follows:

I have a group which hosts my Messaging apps -- Zoom, Whatsapp, MS Teams, and Discord. Discord is actually a Chrome window in "app" mode (no Chrome bar)

The problem is that when I open a different Chrome instance, Discord jumps out of its group and creates a new group with the new window. This happens regardless of whether Chrome has the "background processes" turned on or off. I put Discord back on its group. The next time I open Chrome, it creates a new group with the previous Chrome window, which is not what I want. Note that I do NOT have the "auto grouping" setting on. I even added "automatically exclude chrome from auto grouping" and that doesn't work. Apparently the second Chrome window now took ownership of my "Messages" group.

Another issue I have is that saved groups do not always work. I tried to save the previously mentioned group (Teams + Zoom + Whatsapp + Discord in Chrome), and the shortcut only opens the windows but does not group them. What's the use of this Groupy feature then? I believe this was the case in version 1.5 as well. I'm attaching the group code below.

Code: asp.net
  1. [Group]
  2. GroupCount=4
  3. GroupLeft=1913
  4. GroupTop=-669
  5. GroupRight=2827

In conclusion, I feel really dissappointed by having paid more money for the "upgrade". I got a software that looks a bit prettier, but has no extra functionality and has more bugs.

I too have this problem. Specifically with Windows Explorer.

I have a multi-screen setup. When I group together certain apps (not yet apparent exactly which, but one example is Word and Excel), when I click on Excel the group jumps to the primary monitor in the center somewhere - always the same location, always the primary monitor.

I too have this problem. Specifically with Windows Explorer.

While we certainly appreciate the feedback, javierruizgarcia, it's a 'Public Beta' and people who participate in it should have an understanding that all things will not work as expected during it.

While not quite as you detailed here, we have noticed some funkiness with auto \ grouping when apps were part of a save that was closed (or still open).  It's hard to tell how much might be related to what you are detailing here as we are all working with the next build but I suspect these efforts should address them as well.

Again, thanks for the feedback.

Sorry, I actually forgot for a minute that this was still a beta. Looking forward for those next builds!

One more note/suggestion, sorry if it's been posted before... The "active tab" color doesn't really stand out... I believe in v1.5 it was customizable? Check the screenshot... I have to really pay attention to know what tab I am working on. The x helps.

Future updates for what exactly? Are you referring to the Quake issue? So far that is the only report and it cannot be reproduced internally

Next major update of Groupy 2... As I can't keep Groupy 1 installed while testing Groupy 2, I would like to wait for a better stable version of Groupy 2.

Quoting Neil Banfield,

Quoting HellbillyDeluxe,

Not directly feedback to Groupy 2, but the changelog for Beta 2 is missing from this page:
https://www.stardock.com/products/groupy/history

Could you please add it?

That will be because beta 2 isn't out yet?

What's this then?
https://www.stardock.com/blog/520649/groupy-2-beta-2-arrives-with-new-features

That is supposed to be hidden until it is released.  Clearly someone pressed the wrong button there!

Ah, good to know. Thank you!
I'll keep an eye out on this forum then, to get notified when Beta 2 gets released.
I haven't Beta 1 yet, because I wanted to wait until a more polished Beta 2 is out.
