Quoting djc5166,

New bug with RC2, sometimes my system tray/overflow icons go completely invisible until I mouse over them, never saw that with older versions.

Same problem, seems to happen when you turn off "Use a custom start button image", doesn't happen when you turn it on.

Which version of Windows 11 are you using?  Dev channel, release?

I have the same issue as kOS1886 with the task bar at the top when clicking on the quick access

New issue i have since RC2 is Windows 11 Start Menu showing up aswell as Stardock's menu, usually overlaping last one. Doesn't matter which Stardock menu style, happens with all of them.

I've noticed it only happens when custom start menu icon is disabled, and since you can't have a custom icon on the centre aligned taskbar, it always happens with that alignment. Had to go back to the left alignment until this issue gets fixed. Would be cool if I could have some way to go back to RC1 too, for the time being.

The search now shows after I search from the start menu. However, the cursor doesn't render properly when i'm typing in the search bar. using the windows 10 version. It still types correctly, but the cursor appears to be in the wrong place.

Which release of Windows 11 are you using as this was a problem in RC1 for some people which was resolved in RC2 to the best of our knowledge.

Also are you using a mouse or touch or some other way to open the menu and how many monitors do you have?

Windows 11 Education 22000.258, using a mouse. Also, only happens when clicking the start button, bringing it up with the Windows key works as intended. I have 3 monitors.

Does it happen with the start button on all monitors and what is the order of your monitors and scaling factors?

Another problem, I seen this posted somewere else about Battlefield 1, I forget where it was and when you run and aim sometimes it will just stop all of a sudden, they said they uninstalled Start11 and it worked fine, I'm having the same problem with Battlefield V.

Edit: found it https://forums.stardock.com/507599/problem-when-playing-battlefield-1

not sure if this has been noted, but programs installed outside of the typical program files folder don't have some of the features

"open file location"

and

you can't see recent files opened by it

Just an observation.
When I hover over menu items, I can barely see the change in color from the hovered item to the rest of the menu color.

I noticed a strange behaviour after the update today!

Current W11, newest Start11, taskbar at top, set to disappear - seems to be okay, after a while it shows strange behaviour..

The taskbar doesn't disappear but jumps a little bit down and stays there...
Only an explorer restart "heals" this for a time before it starts over again. Several restarts of Windows didn't bring anything.

Before the update today everything was fine...

We have made changes to this for the next update assuming you mean popup right click menus.

Start11 to 0.91.

Last Windows 11 update was on yesterday but after this everything was fine.
Did a restart after the update - no problem.
Only after the Start11 update today this error occured.

The open file location issue has been resolved for the next update.

Jump lists are very dependant on the shortcut in use and may not show if the shortcut Start11 was pointed to is not the 'proper' one.  Sometimes the app set its 'appid' only at runtime in which case Start11 will not show shortcuts for that app as it will not have the required information when the app is not running.

Start11 version 0.91
Windows 11 Style

When the menu font is set above 100% (in my case, 110%), attempting to resize the start menu by dragging an edge causes Explorer.exe to crash and restart. The issue doesn't occur when the font is set below 100%.

Start11 version 0.91
Windows 11 Style

When the Start11 button is center-justified, its left-justified activation spot on the taskbar is still active.

Hi Neil.
No, I am not talking about context menus.
It is when I hover my mouse over any item in the Start11 menus.
I'll show you image comparisons between the Windows 11 menus and the Start11 menus.

I have hovered over Notepad in both menus.
Notice how you can easily see that I have hovered over Notepad in the Windows 11 menu, but not in the Start11 menu. The Start11 menu has barely changed color.

What are your colour settings set to in Windows personalisation?

I assume you have let Start11 use the automatic colour rather than setting your own?

And thats Modern style correct?

That's correct. Modern style, automatic color.
But I have tried turning off Automatic color, and it doesn't make any difference.

Start11 does not play well with sysinternals from microsoft store.  Instead of opening the folder for the apps, it instead opens a link in edge to download

I've noticed about having the taskbar on top is that the Windows 11 "Quick Settings" flyout seems to cut off at the top as shown in the picture. Will there be fix?

It did that for me just now when I clicked it, but when I clicked it again, it was back to normal.

Unfortunately, I'm not lucky as you. Tried clicking several times and the top is still cut off. 😢
