Problem with modding and modidng folder location on MACCCC

I'm trying to create a mod on the political machine in mac however I don't know how. Also where is the modding folder located in Mac? I did download some mods from steam I don't know the location. I believe it should be in Application support but I don't see it. Anyone know any to resolve this issue.
