Is there a way to somewhere petition this, like users were doing it via Uservoice when it still existed back in 2019 in case of Xbox?

A whitelist is in fact not a bad idea, and maybe more and more useful as Windows itself and apps have become very difficult to universally skin.

I second that. I am in a trial phase, and I think I will pass. Too much with too many application specific issues. It's a shame, because I love the look 2-3 applications I'd like to change have with the styles I like

It is a physical impossibility for whitelisting to work on Windows 7 unfortunately.

On Windows 10 you still have the issue that colour schemes and some fonts are global so would take effect no matter what.

We need to give it some thought on if this is viable or if it would confuse customers.

We do have a new product called Curtains which is in beta which depending on how much skinning you want might be more suited to your needs.  It has no exclusion lists what so ever and is designed with maximum compatibility but with limitations that come with that.

Things unfortunately do not work quite like that as noted.
