Bug fixes

Today we are making a beta available for DeskScapes - version 10.02.

Initial testing has shown that it fixes the following:

  • Applying dreams
  • Dreams not showing a preview
  • Some 'black screen' issues under certain conditions. 
  • Errors when trying to run msra.exe 

Clients with Stardock accounts can get the beta from your account page:

Guest checkout clients can use the link below:

Please uninstall the DS10 version you have now, reboot, and install the beta.

Please use this thread to report any issues, what they are and how to reproduce.

yes all 3 only one works and it still has problems and that's VRM 9

And VMR9 still has a preview problem?

Greg, you seem to be the lone one to still have the issue.  The prevailing opinion is that something may have been hosed with any codec installs you have done.  Would you be open to uninstalling them?

It would be a matter of uninstalling any codec packs you have installed.  Doing a search for 'Add remove' in Windows 10 will get you started.

and others may need to change the Deskscapes engine - see image below by going to the DS10 app settings 

and changing to the Direct Show VMR-9 setting .

only one I saw was klite mega pack I uninstalled it... no help. Installed adv setup, clicked mpeg-2... everything runs the way they are intended now thanks for all you all's mind bending help.

Windows 7.The program worked for 1 minute. Next, on the desktop, the video is frozen. Returned on 8 version of.

tried all the given solution but nothing helped , only preinstalled thmese are working . i have tried the fallowing ways plz tell if something left:

try chaging the engines, make allowed in my antivrus program , disable my antivrus program (if it might interfere), disable all other applications like WB,cursof fx, windows fx, etc, tried instal the beta version, create a new user for no third party app interfarance, than at last finaly use the purge tool of your which uninstalled the app after restart installed it again , all other possible ways i may imagine.  but its not working for other themes. kinldy suggest what to do next
