Sort order
As it is now, if you sort a planet by order of happyness and go into the colony to make adjustement, when you come back, the order has been resetted to the default one. This should be changed so that the order remains fixed until you change it.
Changing production
Currently, you can sort planets by what they produce, nor can you globally change your production in one (or very few clicks). If I'm in a late game, I have researched everything and I want to change my production from "Research project" to "Economic stimulus", I have to cycle through all of my planets to find the ones I need to change.
If I could go to "Govern > Colonies" and sort by what my planets are producing it would help immensely. Ideally though, I'd go to "Govern > Commands > Planets" and there, there would be an option to change all colonies producing research to make them produce "economic stimulus", the same way you can change wich planets sponsor wich shipyard.
Upgrading ships
I've already submitted this idea before, other people seemed to like it. When you go to "Govern > Commands > Ships > Upgrade to", you have no idea how much it will cost you to upgrade all your ships. If you select every ship individually however, you can see the cost per individual ship. I would like to see my costs before I upgrade so that I know for sure if I'm going bankrupt. Right now, all I can do is save, upgrade, and if I'm too deep in the red, reload. It's annoying and immersion breaking. A government would have a general idea of how much it would spend on upgrading its fleet before committing to it, even if there are costs overruns (but it's a space sim game, not an economic sim game after all
).
Trade window
As it is now, all your trade routes appear in red, and clicking on each road doesn't tell you which is which. It would be nice if trade routes to a foreign civilization would appear in the color of that civilization. And it be even nicer if clicking on one particular trade route would highlight it in the trade window.
