So, I found this little guy floating about 100+ meters off the ground. Not sure how it happened.

Quoting Kollok,

Regarding your desktop, since you have a crossfire setup, if you are feeling particular brave you can try the native multiGPU mode in Mantle. Under MyGames\Ashes Of The singularity\settings.ini you can open in notepad and manually adjust settings. There should be a setting called AFRGPU=0. Change it to AFRGPU=1 and run the mantle build. Theoretically, it will be 2x as fast, but you need to run in fullscreen mode for it to work correctly.

Multi-GPU hasn't been extensively tested yet, but it is something we plan on supporting in DX12 and Mantle directly. That is, the engine does what the driver used to. We find this makes the multi-GPU setup far more reliable.

Kollock -- I saw this post and decided to give it a whirl.  I have an Radeon 295x2 which is essentially two ATI 290s running in crossfire mode on a single card. I have played three games now via Mantle and with AFRGPU=1.  I noticed a marked improvement in speed with all of the graphics options maxed out, with far fewer slow downs when zoomed out or during larger scale battles.  The game has been stable on me each time.  Pretty impressive stuff.

Cool, the only thing you have to be careful of with the 295x is that though it has 4gbs, the card can't share the memory between the two gpus unfortunately so it's really like having 2 gb 290s in crossfire mode. Still, I'm glad it's working well for you.

The next gen APIs direct control over MGPU so we're trying to support it as a first class citizen. Still working on the DX12 MGPU, but hopefully will be working before EA.

Yes, aware of this as well as the potential DX12 stacking memory fix.  I've played all the maps with various unit mixes and types with nary a crash.  So all seems well.

So I ran into this interesting bug, all the resource numbers went null, units built instantly, and any structure I built glowed like the sun... ^_^

I also noticed that the units being produced by ordering them from the T2 and T3 units would try to path to the built structure and just get stuck as you can see in the top of the screenshot by the glowing logistics centers.

As a side note how does oxide want us to upload bug report screenshots?

Hardware:

GTX980 Driver 10.18.13.5330

Best thing for bugs is to have clear repro steps, I'll ask the QA guys what they want us to do about screenshot uploads.

Also, sorry we've been quiet lately, we've been working on a pretty big update which hopefully will come out this week, possibly including a new benchmark mode and D3D12 support. We're looking into ways of pushing builds out to the founders at a higher rate - we'll let you know more soon!

Sounds great -- I honestly prefer silence to a lot of chatter sometimes -- it means that sh*t is getting handled.  Looking forward to the next build ;-).

- I was playing a game and it just crashed into Windows Desktop. It was during a battle. Nothing special to report.

- Sometimes units get stuck on top of a mountain. If a unit cannot seem to move anywhere, teleport it a few pixels back?

- I somehow completely missed the fact that the right upper screen hosts research options. For future players: please put a label "research" or something!

- Game runs perfectly smooth on my host with all settings maxed. I am missing resolutions for other aspect ratios, though ;).

game just froze down at this stage:

I assume it hapened when i gave that huge meta unit ( approx 80 units)  a movement command. A Possible reason may be those misplaced units at the top of the screen.
this basically happens very often when i move large meta units of that scale.

another bug:

if I create a meta unit with 1 T3 and full 16 t2 units i cannot add t1 units to it.  A Workaround has been to disassemble and then reassemble all of the units

this isnt really a bug, per se,  but, when i run the game my processor gets very warm, and the fan on the liquid cooler ramps up to at least half speed..  for reference i played witcher 3 and crysis 3, and it never went above idle speed, lol

I have also experianced the energizers not working properly. I did have one game today where there were drones healing units around the energizers much like the repair bay does. But game crashed and in the next game it wasn't working again. So am not sure if this is what is supposed to happen or not.

lots of bugs in the latest build.

Ones i remember off the top of my head.

Health bars for destroyed enemies stay stuck on the screen

Economy flatlines and can Insta-build everything once i reach 500 logistics.

Pathfinding struggles on larger units.

Some units get stuck on terrain and can no longer be moved

On the Seton map there were various radioactive deposits that couldn't be acquired (I tried to build on them, but some portion of it was under the terrain and so it wouldn't recognize it as a valid build spot).

The game crashed on me after zooming in on a target (I'll second tatsujb's bug of this sometimes freaking out and zooming in way too much) and selecting it as an attack point.

I also had my bomber squadron attacking the ground for no apparent reason only to notice a tier 1 (maybe tier 2, it was a quick pass) flying through the air above all of the aerial units and not taking any damage from their attacks.

I've had issues on Seton as well as Aven where I can't place on radioactive nodes because they are on the beginning of a hill. There is one Metal Node Directly north on the players starter base that is on top of a hill and thus unreachable.

I've experienced the insta build bug that many players have reported.

I've also seen commands that I've given go null, for example factory way points will sometimes turn off or units I've ordered to move to a position will only go part way. These happens when the way point is not on a node, as well as when it is on one, I've checked to see if that was the issue.

Is it initially why on some maps I have completed research and on others I don't. For example on Aven I have metal storage w.o researching at a matrix or even building it. I don't know if that's a bug or if right now that building has been taken out of the research requirements. The blueprint doesn't seem to go away either.

Finally, when I boot the game up using DX12 my razer synapse restarts. This hasn't affected my game play because the app does restart fully so I'm able to re choose my profile and have my macros and settings back. Not really sure where to post about this or maybe it's just a minor thing that my computer is being silly about.

P.S. Can't alt-tab. Closes game.

camera zooming sometimes freaks out and it glitches uder the map or just snaps to a certain view height for a sec.

1)  Yes I have this often but I can not replicate it, seems to just be random.  My camera sometimes zooms all the way in 100% all of a sudden when I my my wheel to zoom in.  Also sometimes the camera clips into the terrain.  Sometimes it zooms out 100% when zoomed in and then spases between 100% zoom in and 100% zoom out for 0.5 seconds

2)  In larger fights, seemingly ones with many rocket shooting units, I often see smoke trailers that are much to high in the air.  Also these smoke trails are perpendicular to the ground.. so there is a pillar of smoke that is way in the air and the smoke pillar stops somewhere around the height of where air planes fly (so the pillar is above the plane of where airplanes are).

3)  Seems that every map has some deposit somewhere where you can not build on metal or radioactive deposits due to being in terrain.  Some maps have it way more than others.

If the radioactive spots are partially in a hill or something else the extractor cant be build (as mentioned before by other users). Additionaly the engineer is kind of stuck then and one have to stop him by clicking the stop button.

Well i know that on maps with lots of canyon paths the units have some serious pathing issues, especially when they are in a battlegroup. They also tend to bug out and start flying across the map, but I haven't seen that recently so that may have been patched.

Great feedback!

Re projectiles. We don't have simulated projectiles in that sense.  We intentionally prevent them from colliding with allies for obvious reasons. ;)  What you see on the map is accurate within a few meters but it is not precisely accurate so you can get cases where a shot will clip the edge of the terrain.  It's a cosmetic thing.

Great bug reports ! Thank you!

I'm getting an error on start up that there is no disk in disk drive E:, and disk drive E: is a usb hub for my mouse, keyboard and a usb stick.

I apologise for that mess. I now realise click dragging images does not work very well. Tried editing but kept getting 404'd. Sorry again..

This is what it was supposed to look like -

I am also experiencing the strange projectile behaviour.  They seem to shoot straight up from their origin.

I am still experiencing meta unit dysfunction. A meta unit of Tier 1 units will work/move together (although they won't navigate terrain and obstructions well and move really slowly) but as soon as I add a Tier 2 or Tier 3 unit into the meta unit and ask them to move to/attack a point the Tier 1 units move off, and in a lot of cases fly, in different directions. The screen cap below is of the point I asked them to move to (marked with X). They all started in the same location at the same time. So you can see from the different bearings of the units that they have all moved in random directions rather than move to where I want them. Some of them flew off the land mass (second pic in the screen cap, circled in red) and were not recoverable for the rest of play.

Finally, and I am not sure this is a bug, when I select multiple Engineers and ask them as a group to build something, only one of them will do any building. The others will follow it but not help.

@totespro  ONE : you can edit posts. you don't have to make another one.

TWO what you do is paste the link into a web browser tab and hit enter. copy the the changed adress and then you can do what you did.

google images within the google search never work for obvious reasons. they just show up there thanks to alot of script code and that's what you copied. you gotta click on "show full size image"

Thanks for the help. I have now sorted it out. I still can't edit the first attempt though, get taken to a 404 screen so hopefully a moderator can delete the post or something.

Game freezes and receive "display driver has stopped working and recovered" error message.  DX12 game.  AMD 7970 GHZ edition 3MB crossfire with R9 280x driver version 15.20.1062.1004-150803a1-187674C.
